Super Mario Odyssey 10 Seaside Kingdom Moons You Totally Missed

In an area as big as the Seaside Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey, it is not a huge surprise that a lot of Power Moons can be found in some deeply hidden and possibly missable locations on the map.

However, after collecting every single one in the entire game, new features will be unlocked including the ability to get to the top of the castle and shoot fireworks in the Mushroom Kingdom. In order to grab certain Moons, he must complete various time tasks and puzzles, but a few of them get unlocked on the map only after finishing the main story.

10 Timer Challenge 1

This Moon is located south of Hot Spring Island and Mario has to collect it before the time runs out. It can be easily missed since the red button can be hard to spot, even though it’s quite generous in size. If you turn south of Hot Springs flag and jump from the cliff, there is a crack in the underwater. Go right through the crack and the red button will be visible. Once Mario hits the button, he should smash the block on the other platform and collect the Moon.

9 A Bird Flying Over The Ocean

By catching a glittery golden bird, Mario can collect another Moon. However, there is no doubt this one can be quite frustrating forcing many players to give up on it since naturally, the bird won’t sit still and the whole process of catching it can be time-consuming.

The easiest way to catch a bird is by smashing it with a Gushen or climb at the top of the Lighthouse and with use Glydon to get to the bird. The bird will try to run away once you get the Glydon, so Mario will need to chase it all around the beach and ocean.

8 Underwater Highway Tunnel

This one is hidden under the breakable bricks in the tunnel, so it is almost undetectable. If you look for the tunnel that is guarded by three Cheep-Cheeps, it is most likely that you are on the right path. Make sure to perform a spin-attack smashing the bricks and the Power Moon will shine through.

7 Ocean Trench Seed

In order to get four Power Moons, players need to plant seeds and grow them, which is probably why many players don’t actually take the time to find them.

If players want to find this one then they need to have Mario enter the top of the Beach House, where four identical pots can be found (but without any seeds in them). Players will then have to go to the Ocean Trench East flag and bounce to the bottom to look for the golden seed. After acquiring it, carry them back to the Beach House and plant them. The process of growth will be slow but Mario can use Gushen’s water jet to speed it up and get all four Moons.

6 Time Challenge 2

If Mario is directed to swim to the very bottom, north of Glass Palace, one more hidden Power Moon can be collected if the challenge is completed in time.

At the first glance, it seems fairly easy to swim to the moon in a straight line, but the problem can be born once realizing there is almost not enough time to do so. The only way to grab that Moon is by speed dashing Mario through the water as quickly as possible.

5 Great Job, Captain Toad

In order to get this Moon, players will have to capture Gushen and head over to the Odyssey. To climb the ledge that is located next to the Odyssey, use the benefit of Gushen’s water jet and keep jetting East where you can get to the highest peak.

Captain Toad will await there to grant Mario another Power Moon. This one is highly missable since it’s not even noticeable if players don’t use the water jet and climb to the top.

4 Timer Challenge 3

The third timer challenge is located near the Lighthouse flag, where the scarecrow is. Make sure to toss a hat and begin the challenge. The trick is to get some extra distance by diving in mid-air. Within a few seconds, the Power Moon will be yours. If mid-air diving isn’t doing the trick, combine it with ground pound when in the water, which will speed up Mario even more.

3 Master Cup

This challenge can be difficult to complete in a required time but with a little bit of patience and practice, it’s completely manageable. Head over to the Hot Springs Island flag and walk along the beach to find a Green Koopa and start the challenge.

The first thing to do is start the challenge and possess the fish in order to put some extra swimming speed. Then possess a jellyfish and get catapulted to the cliff, where the Moon is awaiting. One of the tricks to get to the victory is by using the Cheep Cheep’s supreme ability and speed up to the sandbar.

2 Hero Of The Beach

If Mario walks near the Beach House, a net for volleyball can be found and with it, one more collectible Moon. This challenge is one of the most difficult ones and requires to hit the ball 100 continues times over the net.

The key of the strategy is to stay in the center (that way you can quickly move to the left or right) and use Cappy to hit the ball when that is required.

1 Secret Path To Bubblelane

To collect this Moon, players will need to get to the Mushroom Kingdom and find a portrait near the Odyssey. From the Main Courtyard Entrance flag, turn left and go around the house to find a painting hanging on the wall. Mario can teleport through the painting to the cliff of the Seaside Kingdom where the closed chest can be found. Once opened, a new Power Moon will appear in the collection.
