The Real Housewives Of Miami 8 Things To Know About The Peacock Reboot

In 2011, Bravo added another city to the Real Housewives franchise: Miami. Season 1’s cast included Leah Black, Adriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, and Christy Rice. The series would run for three seasons before ultimately getting canceled due to low ratings, as reported by Cheat Sheet. However, in the past couple of years, fans have been itching to have RHOM back on their screens again.

There have been hints about the show’s return, and fans will be pleased to know the rumors are true. However, instead of premiering on Bravo, the reboot is going to stream on Peacock. The new and improved series will follow some familiar faces, catch up on what fans missed over the past eight years, and show a brand new side to life as a housewife in Miami, Florida.

Who’s A Part Of The Cast?

Sadly, members of the RHOM cast are some of the most forgotten Housewives since the show hasn’t aired since 2013. But the 2021 Miami housewives are bound to make an impact on viewers when the show returns.

Former RHOM Houswives Larsa Pippen, Alexia Echevarria, and Lisa Hochstein will be back for season 4. Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton who were also a part of season 1 will return as friends of the central group. New housewives will include Julia Lemigova, Guerdy Abraira, and Dr. Nicole Martin.

When Does It Release?

While some Real Housewives series had great ratings, RHOM was not one of them — especially by the time season 3 rolled around. That’s why Bravo had to cut the city loose. At the time, it was the second city in franchise history (after The Real Housewives of D.C.) to be cut from the roster.

Now that it’s making a comeback on Peacock, Variety reports that season 4 is coming to screens in December 2021. The network began working on the reboot in 2020 before ordering a new season later that year.

Seasons 1-3 Can Be Streamed Now To Prepare For Season 4

It’s been eight long years since the last season of RHOM was on TV. In the final season, Joanna Krupa and Adriana De Moura continued to argue and could not make nice regardless of the rest of the cast’s pleads. The two housewives were also planning their weddings to their longtime partners, which added excitement to the show’s last episodes.

With so much time past since the original series aired, seasons 1-3 may be a little fuzzy for some viewers. Fans can rewatch these seasons on the Bravo website or on Peacock now. This way, fans will be ready and familiar by the time December rolls around.

RHOM Makes History

Real Housewives is known for dramatic fights, reunions, and lavish vacations which have become historic reality TV moments. But season 4 of RHOM just raised the bar even higher for what constitutes a historical moment in the Real Housewives franchise.

Julia Lemigova is the newest addition to season 4 of RHOM and she’s also the first openly gay housewife, according to Out in Perth. Julia is a former model who is married to professional tennis player, Martina Navratilova. Together, they have one child.

Say Hi To The Friends

Like the other cities in the franchise, The Real Housewives of Miami will have a few friends added to the roster. Former RHOM stars Marysol Patton and Adriana de Moura will be back part-time, but there’s also a new friend added for the fourth season: Kiki Barth.

Kiki is a model, former pageant queen, and entrepreneur, according to Celeb Hook. Hailing from Haiti, Kiki moved to the United States as a teenager and forged a modeling career. She’s already friends with other Real Housewives — Kiki’s Instagram shows her posing with RHOBH alum, Garcelle Beauvais. Fans will be interested to see how Kiki fits in with the Miami crowd.

The Men Behind (And In) The Show

While Real Housewives is all about the women, there are important men both in front and behind the camera. Scott Dunlop is a TV producer, writer, and creator. He’s had a hand in The Real Housewives of Orange County, New Jersey, and is back working on season 4 of Miami. The series is executively produced by a few big Bravo names like Matt Anderson (The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Married to Medicine, etc…), Nate Green (The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Atlanta, New York, etc…), and of course, Andy Cohen.

The series will also see new and familiar househusbands. Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, and Joanna Krupa all have new men in their lives since the last time fans saw them. However, Lisa Hochstein is still going strong with Dr. Lenny, according to US Magazine. It’ll be interesting to see how relationships unfold on RHOM so fans can debate which househusbands are the best and worst.

Alexia Was Always Going To Be A Part Of The Cast

When it came to the making of the fourth season, Bravo knew they needed familiar faces for fans to catch up with, along with fresh personalities to bring the series back to life. According to Page Six, one housewife the network needed back was Alexia Echevarria.

A close source revealed, “Alexia Echevarria is a shoo-in as she has such a dramatic and challenging life story between her ex-husband’s death, her son’s accident, and new [fiancé].” With so much happening in her life, Alexia will make great reality TV.

Season 4 Will Most likely Touch Base On Larsa’s Relationship Woes

Larsa Pippen was one of the most prominent members of RHOM in its original run. In the first three seasons, Larsa was still married to former NBA star Scotty Pippen. The couple has four kids together. These days, Larsa and Scotty have split and she has begun dating other men in the public eye.

Due to the ongoing media circus around Larsa and her love life — including a relationship with a younger NBA player who was still married at the time of his alleged romance with Larsa, as reported by US Magazine – she’s another housewife who will make great reality TV.
