Bart & Lisa don’t have a terrible relationship, but they’ve done some pretty bad things to one another over the years.

Just like any siblings, Bart and Lisa don’t always get along. They might be brother and sister, but that doesn’t mean that they have to love each other all of the time, as they tend to bicker and argue quite a lot during episodes of The Simpsons.

However, even though normal sibling squabbling is expected, every now and then they take things too far. During some episodes, The Simpsons children take things to a different level and do something especially horrible to the other.

While it might be expected from Bart, Lisa isn’t as innocent as she makes out. Often using her brains to her advantage to really plot something horrible for her brother. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at the five worst things they have done to each other.

10 Bart Did: Forgetting Her Birthday

The episode, ‘Stark Raving Dad,’ is one of the most popular in the history of The Simpsons, with the legendary singer, Michael Jackson appearing as someone who believes that he is Michael Jackson. While he is the star of the episode, it does feature Bart at his worst.

The whole purpose of the episode is that Bart always forgets his sisters birthday, every single year. No matter what, Bart seems to forget even with reminders, which shows how poor he is as a brother.

In this particular episode, he winds up getting her a gift after even he works out that he hasn’t been a great brother all these years.

9 Lisa Did: Bart’s Moment Of Good

Throughout the entire show, it is always made clear that Bart is the nasty one, and Lisa is the nice one. However, in season 30, Bart ends up showing a positive side of himself when he joins a protest group that is entirely made up of girls.

Originally, he does so to stop a female version of his favorite show, Itchy & Scratchy, but after he enjoys spending time with them he ends up working with them. You would think that Lisa might actually be proud of her brother for this situation, but that isn’t the case.

Instead, she preaches to him to do things the right way, claiming he wouldn’t know-how and that she should be doing it herself. It is mainly through jealousy here, but that doesn’t make it any better.

8 Bart Did: Not Accepting Her

Sibling jealousy is something that is very real, especially when one baby is just born and that is highlighted in The Simpsons. In the episode ‘Lisa’s First Word,’ we are shown Bart meeting Lisa for the first time, and despite her love for him, that feeling isn’t mutual.

Bart does everything possible in this episode to actually get rid of his sister. From trying to put her in a post box to hitchhiking away himself all the way to shaving her head.

In the end, the episode is very sweet when Lisa’s first word is “Bart,” but that doesn’t mean that he’s not horrible to her within it. He clearly hates her and wants to be the only child in the house, which is something that doesn’t change too much as they both grow.

7 Lisa Did: Sabotages His Career

While Bart did forget Lisa’s birthday, she went on to do something much worse as she tried to ruin his career. When the show got to season 30, many fans stopped paying as much attention, but that didn’t mean that Lisa stopped being horrid to Bart.

In one episode, Bart begins to become a very good e-sports player, which is playing online video games. He ends up being invited to a tournament and he and Lisa end up travelling to North Korea.

However, Lisa does it all through sabotage. She ends up begging with her father regarding the lack of inner peace that Bart’s career has and he ends up ruining the entire tournament for Bart.

6 Bart Did: Making Lisa Lose Friends

Throughout The Simpsons, Lisa is never especially popular with her peers at school. The main reason that the show gives for this is Lisa’s brains, with the fact she is a nerd being a reason for people to not want to hang out with her.

Eventually, Lisa works that fact out when she notices that nobody has signed her school yearbook because they don’t like her. When the family goes on vacation, Lisa creates a new persona and ends up becoming popular with all the cool kids.

However, this is where Bart swoops in to ruin her fun. Noticing her empty book, he decides to go and shoe her new friends and messes around. They then learn Lisa is a nerd and end up ditching her, leaving Lisa lonely once again.

5 Lisa Did: Bad Babysitter

Siblings having to babysit each other isn’t something uncommon. While the parents are out on a date, siblings are often called upon to look after the other. Because Lisa is the smartest and most sensible, she is the one put in charge of Bart and Maggie.

However, she doesn’t exactly do a great job, with Bart seriously injuring himself. But instead of ringing an ambulance or her parents, Lisa simply dumps him into a wheelbarrow and tries to get some secret help instead.

4 Bart Did: The Scary Maze Game

Bart does some despicable things throughout the show, and one of the worst is when he involves The Scary Maze Game. Bart actually tricks Lisa into playing it, by claiming it is the ‘Genius Maze,’ which Lisa decides is something she wants to try out.

However, in the end, that turns out to be a lie as it is the Scary Maze Game and it leaves her…scared. After she plays, he adds to that by posting a picture of her surrounded by his dirty clothes online for everyone to see, adding to her issues.

This leads to Lisa feeling very embarrassed as people start to mock her. It might not seem overly cruel, but online humiliation is something that can be serious, and Lisa feels the brunt of it here.

3 Lisa Did: Coma Nightmares

After the previous example involving the Scary Maze Game, Lisa Simpson decides she wants to get revenge on her brother. In the same episode, ‘Flanders’ Ladder,’ she does exactly that when Bart suffers a coma after falling from the ladder.

Lisa sees her opportunity to strike here and she starts giving her brother nightmares. With different ghosts appearing, Bart has a horrid time as he tries to recover from a rather serious medical scare.

Dr. Hibbert even advises Lisa to stop giving him nightmares, claiming that it could actually lead to giving Bart permanent brain damage, which just goes to show how serious this could have been.

2 Bart Did: Thanksgiving Burning

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time all about family and love, but of course, that can always lead to fallouts as any family event does. Plenty of great shows have Thanksgiving episodes, and The Simpsons is no different.

However, it does create one of the worst things that Bart has ever done to his sister. As they celebrate the day, Lisa works incredibly hard to create a centrepiece, which she really puts a lot of effort into creating.

When she proudly shows it off, Bart decides it is taking up too much space on the table as he wants to place the turkey down. This leads to a tussle and it is thrown into the fire as Bart simply says, “bitchin.”

1 Lisa Did: Making Him Life Outside

Lisa might come across as sweet and innocent, but when she wants to, Lisa can be incredibly mean and vindictive. A perfect example of that is when she actually makes Bart live outside of the house.

Lisa ends up simply having enough of her brothers behavior, which is fair enough as he can be very annoying. But she ends up taking her issues way too far as she actually gets a restraining order against her own flesh and blood.

The restraining order means that Bart has to be a certain distance from Lisa, which makes him live in the garden. He sits in a tent and stays away from Lisa, with this easily being the worst thing she has done.
