So T.V. has appeared in a couple of musicals too, including Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. But the focus of this article is T.V.’s best film and television contributions based on their IMDb scores.

So she reluctantly works at a spa that secretly offers erotic services to its clients which puts her social life in jeopardy. Among the reoccurring characters in the show, T.V. Carpio plays Shelby Prince who is a police officer. She’s also an acquaintance of Riley’s brother-in-law Evan, who harbors feelings for Riley despite her being married.

One of T.V. Carpio’s earliest film roles was in a 2004 Spike Lee movie titled She Hate Me, which was about a businessman resorting to selling his sperm to lesbians via sex. While this film was criticized for its controversial premise, Lee released another movie the same year.

Also starring T.V., this one was called Sucker Free City and it received more positive reviews. Originally debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival before being broadcasted on Showtime, it revolved around gang violence in San Francisco. Particularly between an African-American gang and the Chinese mafia with T.V. playing the daughter of the latter group’s boss.

Not to be confused with the British show of the same name, the American series The Jury ran on Fox for one season in 2004. Consisting of ten episodes, its premise revolved around several criminal cases with a new jury selected to deal with each one while the attorneys were the same.

In the third episode titled “Mail Order Mystery,” a case is brought forward by one of the female attorneys involving a man who was accused of murdering a mail-order bride he got. Among this episode’s guest stars was T.V. Carpio, who played a character called Esme De Lara Kingman.

As mentioned before, T.V. Carpio was involved in a few musicals with her first being Rent towards the end of its run on Broadway. But the one she’s most known for starring in is Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark as Arachne after replacing Natalie Mendoza who had the role before her.

Originally directed by Julie Taymor, this musical is infamous for the number of problems it had. Though during an episode of the Late Show with David Letterman from March 2011, T.V. and the cast performed the song “Rise Above” from the musical as a form of promotion.

6 Body of Proof (7.1/10)

While Bones was on Fox, a similar show came along on ABC called Body of Proof. Only instead of focusing on forensic anthropology, this show focused on medical examiners. Though specifically its main character Doctor Megan Hunt, who was originally a neurosurgeon.

But after a car accident wrecks her hands, she accidentally kills a patient and is forced to retire from neurosurgery. So she becomes a medical examiner and tries to put her life back together while helping the police solve various cases. In two episodes titled “Point of Origin” and “Hard Knocks,” T.V. 5 Across The Universe (7.3/10)

At a glance, the idea of a musical based entirely on Beatles’ songs sounds ridiculous and was proven unsuccessful with the notoriously bad 70s flick Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. But Julie Taymor’s Across the Universe managed to defy all odds and be a decent film that cleverly weaved Beatles’ songs into its Rent-like narrative about rebellious 60s youths.

They even managed to name the characters after Beatles’ songs without sounding too silly, such as T.V. Carpio’s character Prudence. While her overall role in the story is minimal, this was T.V.’s first major movie and the one most people tend to remember her from.

Nominated for the Best Short Film category, it stars T.V. Carpio as a deaf woman who befriends a stranger of Kurdish descent on a beach. Because of its simple premise, the film is roughly eleven minutes long as far as length. Yet according to those who saw it, Noise managed to tell a good story in such a short amount of time.

3 Limitless (7.4/10)

Aside from Across the Universe, the other movie that T.V. Carpio showed up in that got some notice was the 2011 science-fiction thriller Limitless. Granted, her role was brief as the wife of the landlord of the apartment that the main character Eddie (played by Bradley Cooper) lives at.

But her scene was important in terms of the story since it’s during Eddie’s encounter with T.V.’s character Valerie that he first experiences the effects of the strange drug given to him. It not only makes him more knowledgeable but also confident leading the two to have a one-night stand.

2 Rizzoli & Isles (7.6/10)

Based on Tess Gerritsen’s series of novels, the Rizzoli & Isles TV series follows the collaboration of Boston police detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles on various cases. Though particularly ones involving a serial killer and his apprentices.

Running for seven seasons on TNT, this show was modestly popular but also heavily discussed for its perceived lesbian undertones. Nevertheless, T.V. Carpio appeared on one episode of the series titled “Gumshoe” in the fifth season. In it, she plays Zoe Blyer the missing wife of a clothing store owner who’s murdered while several important files have gone missing too.

1 Bloodline (8.0/10)

Among the original series on Netflix, Bloodline started off strong in its first season with positive reviews which gradually became more mixed in the following two seasons. Story-wise, it’s about a man named Danny Rayburn who returns to Islamorada, Florida, where his family lives.

However, they’re not too happy to see him as his presence brings up many dark secrets that the Rayburns have kept leading to subsequent murders. Following one of these, a trial is conducted in the third season where T.V. Carpio appears as a character named Lauren Chu in the seventh episode titled “Part 30.”
