Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy wants to create a new DJ track with The Hills: New Beginnings star Brody Jenner. The 29-year-old Bravo star has always had an interest in music, and often DJ’d on the show for his weekly See You Next Tuesday nights at Sur, as well as various events that cast members threw throughout the past five seasons. Now that the once tempered bad boy has turned his life around, he’s excited to see what other opportunities might be in the cards.

Brody, on the other hand, is definitely known for his longtime role on MTV’s hit reality show, but he began gaining a new form of fame in the music industry after kicking off his DJ career in 2014. At the beginning of his newfound career, Brody was performing at the Hyde Bellagio in Las Vegas, as well as other venues in Atlantic City, Los Angeles and Cabo San Lucas. A year later and Brody ended up with a full time residency in Las Vegas at Tao Nightclub in the Venetian. Since then, the reality star has been touring his music all over the world.

Blended Music Festival showcased sets from Brody, James and The Bachelorette’s Blake Horstmann, which made Screen Rant wonder if there’s currently a trend of reality stars turning into DJs. “I love it. Music is a universal language and I think it’s dope that if you have a passion and you want to strive for something, you want to follow your dreams and chase them, I think it’s dope,” James said. “Shoutout to Brody as well because he’s an OG in the game, and he kills it.” After highly praising Brody’s work in the world of music, the Bravo star thought it would be an epic idea to start the conversations of a possible collaboration. “Brody hit me up,” James said. “We follow each other on Instagram so I’m super down to do that. I’ll whip out my laptop and we’ll just get some beats going right away.”

Until that happens, James is just excited to be playing sets in front of live audiences again. The reality star played a one-hour set in front of a huge crowd in San Diego over the weekend, which James admits was the perfect experience after the past year and a half. “I can absolutely say it was an amazing night,” James said. “The crowd was lit, the set was lit, and the energy was just where I like it. The energy and being outside with people made me feel so good.” James added that he’s been mixing tracks in his homemade studio throughout the pandemic and it was a “sick opportunity” to finally debut those tracks and see how his fans liked them.

This reality star musical collaboration could be quite epic, especially since the duo have similar styles. That said, it was very refreshing to see how much James has grown since he first appeared on Vanderpump Rules over the weekend. He was calm, cool, collected and so kind to everyone around him. It seemed as though he was just thankful to have a second chance to do what he loves for a paycheck.
