Venom 2 Bonus Features Actors Discuss Cletus & Eddies Relationship [EXCLUSIVE]

Screen Rant has an exclusive clip from bonus features of Venom: Let Their Be Carnage showing Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson discussing the relationship between Cletus Kasady and Eddie Brock. The Sony film was a pandemic era box office success, becoming only the second movie to pass $200M in 2021. For those who didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters or just like owning physical media, Venom: Let Their Be Carnage will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 14.

Venom 2 continued the story of Eddie and Venom which started in the 2018 film. This time around, the journalist and his alien symbiote’s relationship is tested, especially in the face of criminal Cletus Kasady and his own symbiote Carnage. The duo must work together, alongside Eddie’s ex-fiancé Anne (Michelle Williams) and her new beau Dr. Dan Lewis (Reid Scott) to save the city from Carnage and Shriek (Naomie Harris).

In this clip from the bonus features of Venom 2, Hardy and Harrelson discuss the relationship between Eddie and Cletus. Hardy explains that there is a similarity between the two characters because they are both “self-seeking” and “happy to deal in deviousness.” Harrelson says that Cletus views Eddie as a friend, something that can be seen in the interactions between the two throughout the film. The clip is part of the bonus feature titled, “Sick and Twisted Cletus Kasady” which delves into work it took to bring the iconic character of Cletus Kasady/Carnage from the comic book pages to the big screen. The home release of Venom: Let Their Be Carnage includes additional bonus features and behind-the-scenes clips from the making of the film as well as deleted scenes and bloopers.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis with a screenplay by Kelly Marcel (who wrote the story alongside Hardy). Venom 3 is currently in the “planning stages” according to Sony producer Amy Pascal but with the post-credits scene from Venom 2 and the multiverse expanding, there are plenty of intriguing possibilities about where to duo could make their next appearance. With rumors swirling around which characters could be crossing over into the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are going to want to re-watch Venom 2 to get prepared.
