Which Stardew Valley Character is Easiest to Romance

Stardew Valley is an indie farming simulator game that recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. It uses simple pixel animations and plays up the charm of country life to draw players in and keeps them happily in-game for hours. The game is also lauded for being LGBT+ friendly, as players can romance and marry Stardew Valley NPCs regardless of gender.

In the game, players inhabit a custom character who has been left their deceased grandfather’s farm in Stardew Valley. They must then go bring the farm back to its full former glory, as well as explore the surrounding area and level up skills in mining, fishing and more. Through their actions, players are able to restore the community of Stardew Valley, earning a place within the town once and for all.

Stardew Valley offers players a chance to befriend all NPCs and romantically pursue a number of them. This can be done by earning hearts, accomplished simply by talking to the characters or giving them liked or loved gifts. Players can ask an eligible character to be in a relationship after eight hearts, and can propose at 10 hearts. The player and character will then be married in a simple ceremony in the town square three in-game days later. The speed at which this can be accomplished is different depending on which Stardew Valley bachelor or bachelorette a player pursues. Fortunately, there are options for an easy and fast romance, and one option stands out in particular.

Leah is Stardew Valley’s Easiest Romanceable Character

While Leah appreciates the errant diamond or two, she also loves receiving much simpler gifts that are easily and cheaply acquired in Stardew Valley. While some characters scoff at gifted foraged items, Leah enjoys them. She believes in living off the land and loves a simple meal comprised of what she can find. Once players learn how to make a salad, that makes an excellent gift as well. Leah is also resourceful, and happy to receive driftwood as a gift. While the rest of the town classifies the item as trash, Leah sees it as material for her newest art project. Leah’s tastes make it easy to hit the two gifts a week maximum and inflate heart points.

Leah is an artist living just south of Marnie’s home, in a snug log cabin by the river. From first introduction, she is friendly and eager to get to know Stardew Valley’s newest resident. This is key to a quick romance, as other characters in the game are standoffish, and earning heart points through conversation takes much longer. Leah enjoys getting to know players, and soon reveals she moved to Stardew Valley to become an artist. Players can help her overcome anxiety and put on an art show in town. A tip for players romancing Leah in Stardew Valley – when her ex rudely interrupts a picnic between the two of you, don’t punch them. Leah doesn’t appreciate it.
