Wolverine often has funny storylines in the comics and these 10 are some of his best so far.

As a general rule, Wolverine is regarded as the best there is at what he does and what he does is not very nice. That’s a polite way of saying that Wolverine has a tendency to be an unrelenting killing machine under the right circumstances. He’s a pretty serious guy.
All of that being said, Wolverine might be serious but a lot of the people he spends time with are not. As such, the man ends up being dragged into any number of absurd storylines. While some of them are not traditionally funny and are actually dark humor at their finest, they still have their own comedic sensibilities.
10 Iceman’s Weird Connection To Wolverine
When it comes to being Wolverine, almost nothing surprises anyone at this point. For his friends and allies, him not coming home with a bunch of arrows and throwing stars stuck into his body is the only sure sign that something is wrong.
Iceman was trying to enjoy a quiet morning on the beach when he was treated to the sight of a beat-up Wolverine slinking across the beach with a bunch of pointy weapons stuck in him. Their relationship is always like a pair of awkward brothers.
9 Logan Believes He’s A Little Boy
The Hellfire Club is constantly messing with the X-Men, even when they’re supposed to be on the same side. Fortunately, that rarely comes up so the lines between the two organizations are quite clear.
One time, they altered Wolverine’s mind so that he thought he was a little English boy. Watching Logan try to sort out life as an X-Man and his response to said life in that form was hilarious.
8 Getting His Butt Handed To Him By Molly Hayes
Wolverine is the best there is at what he does, and sometimes what he does is getting his butt handed to him. That usually involves someone like Thanos or Sabretooth. Other times, it involves a 12-year-old girl named Molly.
Molly Hayes was a member of The Runaways and a mutant with telekinetic powers and super strength. Wolverine underestimated her so she proceeded to launch him like she was punting a soccer ball into a not-so-nearby snowbank.
7 Spending Time With A Young Kitty Pryde
Molly wasn’t the only girl to get the better of Wolverine over the years. He used to spend a lot of time with Kitty Pryde when she first started out with the X-Men. It was an odd relationship to say the least.
While they eventually got to a place where they had a big brother, little sister relationship, the journey there was really funny. For a long time, Wolverine just found Kitty really annoying. But at least he was better prepared Jubilee after that.
6 Wolverine Teams Up With Some Sentinels
When Wolverine was captured and ostensibly brainwashed by the combination of Hydra and the Hand, things went sideways rather quickly. He became the most dangerous threat in the Marvel Universe, taking the combined might of the X-Men and Avengers to stop him.
Once he got free, things were way worse for those who wronged him. Wolverine started by taking on an extremist Mutant group called the Dawn of the White Light. Instead of fighting them himself, he brought three reprogrammed Sentinels to stomp them into oblivion.
5 Stabbing Doctor Strange To Save Him
In the days after the first Civil War, there were a group of Avengers who operated in secret. Part of the fun with this story was that both Wolverine and Spider-Man were on the same team. And Spider-Man drives Wolverine nuts.
When Doctor Strange and Damion Hellstrom were possessed by demons, Wolverine stabbed them. This trauma broke the demon’s hold on them. But as Spider-Man pointed out, Wolverine didn’t know about the possession, and basically just stabbed them for fun.
4 The Punisher Runs Wolverine Over With A Steamroller
After running afoul of some Little People mafiosos, Punisher manipulated Wolverine to survive. This partly included shooting Logan in the crotch with an UZI. After it was all done, Punisher pinned Wolverine down with a steamroller and left him there.
It’s unlikely that Wolverine found this funny at all but Punisher did what he had to do in the situation. Those two already had a strained relationship at best, so it’s unlikely that this helped.
3 Wolverine Destroys Nazis By Doing Nothing
A one-off story took Wolverine back to World War II, putting him in a concentration camp when a new commander arrived. That commander wanted to make a statement and ordered the deaths of several innocent people, including Wolverine.
Throughout the story, Wolverine never says or does anything. He simply won’t die, driving the commander over the edge. Then a new commander arrives and the cycle repeats. The humor is quite dark but it’s there.
2 Hanging Out With Deadpool
When it comes to strange relationships, few are more complicated than Wolverine and Deadpool. They have a shared history thanks to Weapon X, though their respective experiences and outcomes were completely different.
Their ongoing storyline can be described as antagonistic at absolute best, with Deadpool constantly pushing Wolverine’s buttons. These encounters usually end with Wolverine threatening to kill him. But it comes from a place of love.
1 His Run As The Savage Wolverine
Wolverine has gone through some incredibly odd phases in his life, but most of them made some sense. At least until he ended up in the Savage Land as part of the Savage Wolverine storyline. Things got ludicrous pretty quickly.
It was an adventure story mixed with some solid comedy. He spent a lot of time hanging out with Shanna while dodging monsters, dinosaurs, and ridiculous SHIELD agents. It was a refreshing change of pace from the usual grim nonsense he gets up to.
