Xbox Game Pass will see two new strong games tomorrow with the addition of A Plague Tale: Innocence and Indivisible. The subscription gaming service continues to get better and better.
Originally introduced in June of 2017, Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that offers customers access to a changing library of games for a monthly fee. The basic package is $9.99 per month and offers the Xbox Game Pass experience on console. For $14.99 per month, players can access games on console, PC and wield an Xbox Live Gold membership. Not all games are available on both PC and console, which is obviously worth considering.
According to the official Xbox Wire, Microsoft’s due to add a total of four games to Xbox Game Pass over the next two weeks. First, on January 23rd, A Plague Tale: Innocence, an action-adventure game, and Indivisible, a well-regarded side scroller with a great art style, are joining the service. On January 30th, players will have access to Sea Salt, an action strategy hybrid that turns players into vengeful gods, and Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour, a—in a complete twist—fishing game. Of the four, only Sea Salt and A Plague Tale: Innocence are available on PC and console. These new games join a batch that was added literally days ago.
The games have entered the “Coming Soon” phase. it’s only a matter of time before they reach their final form, “Available Today” details: https://t.co/6AdR0YlwH9 pic.twitter.com/jsK6Qzzxiv
In addition to the news of the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass, the Xbox Wire team announced the upcoming departure of five quality titles. The games leaving the subscription service soon are:
- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
- Resident Evil 4
- Saint’s Row The Third
- The Division
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
The post didn’t define the precise removal date for these titles, only stating that they’d be leaving the library “soon.” If players want to keep these games after they’re gone, buying them while they’re still a part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog will discount them each by 20%. The discount goes away as soon as the games leave Xbox Game Pass, so grabbing them before they drop is crucial to the deal. More quality titles were announced to be leaving the service days ago, too.
The Xbox Game Pass subscription continues to be one of the best deals in gaming today. Between the ever-expanding library and the ability to play games on both the Xbox One and PC platforms, Microsoft’s created a service worthy of consumer attention. One of the best parts, of course, is that first-party made Xbox games hit the service on release day, making titles like Gears 5 a part of that low monthly subscription price.
