The Crow has a cult following, but with a tragic backstory. Bruce Lee’s son, Brandon Lee, was cast to play Eric Draven in the adaptation of the popular comic book. With only eight days before finishing production, Brandon suffered a fatal accident on set.

While filming a crucial scene where Eric is confronted by thugs and shot, a mistake was made. The prop crew manufactured their own dummy bullets using real bullet cartridges, but they didn’t remove the percussion primer. During one scene, the bullet got stuck halfway and went unnoticed. When the gun was used again, the bullet released and struck Lee in the abdomen, resulting in his death.
