10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Fans will often overlook the micro web series Forces of Destiny, especially given how great other Star Wars animated projects are. This show has some truly enjoyable episodes however, and even has some weight behind it on occasion. Some episodes fill in canonical gaps and give fans fun facts and little bits of information that make it more than just a silly, inconsequential kid’s program.

Of course, it is a kid’s show and is very light. But by not watching it or keeping up with it, many fans miss out on small, entertaining stories and facts that only serve to improve the other shows and movies in the franchise.

Code 310 And Pets Under The Empire

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Code 310, from the Forces Of Destiny episode “The Stranger,” is not something that will blow fans’ minds at all; quite simply, it is an Imperial code that prohibits the ownership of pets.

Code 310 is just a fun little bit of information that expands on how the Empire impacts the everyday citizen. People have their pets ripped away from them should Code 310 get enforced, and from that point, nobody wants to think about what happens to the poor creature nor how the owners feel. It has since appeared in “The Mighty Chewbacca in the Forest of Fear,” but if a fan does not want to watch Forces Of Destiny, it is unlikely they would read that junior novel.

Sabine Wren & Jyn Erso Had An Impromptu Team-Up

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Jyn Erso’s characterization in Forces Of Destiny was off to many fans who knew her to be more cold-hearted and selfish at this point in time. Nevertheless, she helps out Sabine Wren by returning the intel she accidentally came across, which belonged to the specter.

This team-up does not help the “small Galaxy” criticism of Star Wars. What are the odds – and the logistics – of these two meeting at this perfect point in time? Nonetheless, both are amazing characters, and some fans undoubtedly enjoyed their encounter.

The Tarre Vizsla Statue On Mandalore

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Tarre Vizsla is one of the most famous Mandalorians in Star Wars, known for his creating the Darksaber and becoming the first-ever Mandalorian Jedi. He is a legend.

What Forces Of Destiny fans know about the famous character is that on Mandalore, he had his own statue used by Mandalorians to remember and honor him. The Empire being the Empire, desecrated the work of art and built an Imperial outpost around it before Sabine and her brother saved it. Mandalore is a fascinating planet that fans want to explore more of, and the Mandalorian culture is always a joy to learn about. The more fans get to know about Tarre Vizsla, a crucial part of Mandalorian history, the better.

Ahsoka Gave Training Lessons To Padmé & Ezra Bridger

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Unsurprisingly, Ahoska Tano-focused episodes of Forces Of Destiny are among the very best the show has to offer. On two separate occasions, in two different times in the Galaxy, she delivers training lessons to Padmé Amidala and Ezra Bridger.

In “Starfighter Stunt,” she teaches Padmé to pilot a starfighter. In “A Disarming Lesson,” she gives Ezra a lesson with a lightsaber and about power. Both show different maturities in Ahsoka and different ways in which she teaches. To Padmé, she is a friend, while to Ezra, a sage mentor. For Padmé, her episode showcases further her willingness to do things for herself and learn, while for Ezra, “A Disarming Lesson” adds another step in his maturity during the time of season 2.

Hera Had A Good Relationship With Han & Leia

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Hera Syndulla may well be one of the most underrated characters in Star Wars, as she’s not talked about as much as Rey, Padmé, Leia, or Ahsoka in terms of female characters, nor discussed on the level of Han, Poe, Luke, or Anakin in terms of pilots.

Nevertheless, she is brilliant, and as it turns out, she did have a great relationship with a fellow expert pilot, Han Solo. The fact that the two are shown to be close enough to have a recurring quip about who has the better ship is fantastic. It is also unsurprising Hera has such a good relationship with Leia. Still, it is an excellent connection between Rebels and the originals.

Why The Ewoks Had Traps

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

One of the most minuscule and inconsequential questions to come out of Return of the Jedi is, why did the Ewok’s have traps in the first place? This query was answered canonically in “Traps and Tribulations.”

The episode saw the canon return of the Gorax, a creature that terrorized the Ewoks. Quite simply, the traps protected the beloved little race of alien furry creatures. This information can be pieced together elsewhere, but only in the likes of reference books and databanks; it was first fully established here.

How The Wampa Got Discovered At Echo Base

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

One of the most famous deleted scenes in all of Star Wars sees the existence of a closed-off area at Echo Base where a Wampa resides. “Beasts Of Echo Base” details how the beast got discovered.

It sees Leia happen onto the cave within the base while looking for Chewie, who had stumbled into the grasp of the Wampa. Leia outsmarts it, evades it, and gets it locked behind a reinforced door that was only opened later by a snowtrooper. The episode is great not only for this little tidbit, but for a display of Leia’s bravery and leadership, traits she shares with her mother.

How Leia Got Accepted By The Ewok Village

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Another of the more minor questions to come out of Return of the Jedi was how Leia got accepted so quickly into the Ewok village and was given her own set of robes. It is answered in “Ewok Escape.”

The episode sees Leia and Wicket help two Ewoks held captive by stormtroopers, rescuing them and getting them back to Bright Tree Village. Leia is then given the dress as a show of gratitude. The episode fills in many fans’ nitpicky holes with the original trilogy finale.

How Ahsoka Knew

10 Star Wars Facts Only Forces Of Destiny Fans Know

Through The Clone Wars, fans can assume that Ahsoka at the very least has a strong inclination about Anakin and Padmé’s relationship. But, “Unexpected Company” pretty much confirmed that is the case and shows fans when she figured it out.

After getting caught amid a Separatist fleet and the ship getting hit, Ahsoka sees Padmé and Anakin holding one another in their arms. Ahsoka later correctly remarks that Padmé and Anakin are a good team, with a kind of acknowledgment from Padmé. Particularly when she left the Jedi Order, Ahsoka implies that she knows about Anakin and Padmé, and this episode just clears up how she knew.

How Leia Got The Boushh Armor

“Bounty Hunted” fits a good amount into its short duration. It serves not only as a showcase for Leia’s first-ever meeting with Maz Kanata, but also explains to fans how she got the iconic Boushh disguise she used to save Han from Jabba the Hutt.

Boushh, the bounty hunter, happens to be on Ord Mantell – where Leia, Chewie, and Artoo meet Maz – and looks to get credits from the Empire for their heads. Leia being Leia, manages to defeat the bounty hunter, taking the Ubese’s armor at the behest of Maz. Leia acquiring the armor in canon has been pondered over for so long, and fans who do not look at Forces of Destiny will miss out on witnessing the story properly.
