90 Day Fiancé Sumits Catfish Facebook Profile Reveals He Met Jenny In 2012

Even though 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is currently on a break, Sumit and Jenny’s critics surely aren’t. Ever since Sumit Singh’s parents, Anil and Sahna, debuted on the TLC show, #TeamJenny has been steadily losing followers. 90 Day Fiancé fans felt cheated by Jenny Slatten’s lies and behavior when Sumit’s parents revealed her scandalous trip to India in 2013. But how long had Jenny and Sumit known each other before finally meeting?

90 Day Fiancé’s Jenny might have left out a few details about her first visit to India while talking to the cameras. Sumit’s parents revealed on the reality show that Jenny first visited them while claiming to be their son’s Facebook friend, but ended up overstaying her welcome. Four days turned into four months, within which Jenny, 61, grew closer to 32-year-old Sumit’s mom. However, she was also growing closer to Sumit, and would often get intimate with him after the family retired to bed. Sumit’s parents noticed the behavior and realized that he and Jenny were more than “just friends.” They disapproved of the relationship because of their large age gap. Somewhere down the line, Jenny returned to the USA and Sumit got married off to a girl of his parents’ choice. However, Sumit kept this fact a secret from his 90 Day Fiancé love and continued the long-distance relationship. However, this wasn’t the first time that Sumit lied to Jenny. The foundation of this 90 Day Fiancé couple’s relationship was, in fact, based on a lie. Sumit catfished Jenny into believing he was “Michael Jones” for a year before finally revealing his true identity, which the Palm Springs native eventually accepted.

“One day I was on Facebook and I got a friend request from a Michael Jones,” Jenny explained on The Other Way season one. “He looked like an Englishman. Dark hair, very tall and thin. He was 25 years old, and once I accepted his friend request, we started messaging right away.” The profile of Michael Jones still exists on Facebook and features a younger-looking, sunbathing Jenny on the cover photo. On the earliest public entry, “Michael” updated his profile picture to that of English singer Rachel Lauren Steven and her husband, Alex Bourne. Sumit seems to have made Alex the face of Michael Jones. He later used pictures of Indian actor Ranbir Kapoor. Jenny’s first comments on the Facebook page show up on another picture of Ranbir Kapoor from 4 July 2012, where she writes, “how about a more recent pic ???” and Sumit, um, Michael replies, “n dis pik is olmost 15yrs old when i was 19.” He later shares another picture of Alex Bourne, which he claims is from his “cell phone,” and Jenny seems to be convinced enough to wish him a “Happy 4th.”

On July 21, 2012, Sumit posted about “my last day in CA (Los Angeles)” and indicates that he’s moving to Washington, DC. Chances are that Jenny, a Californian herself, must’ve asked Sumit to meet her, which prompted the sudden “move.” A July 22, 2012 post is of Jenny, and Sumit continued sharing music video links from YouTube. By July 25, 2012, Sumit “Michael” Jones and Jenny started referring to each other as “my hubby” and “my wife.” This 90 Day Fiancé romance sure did escalate quickly. More Alex Bourne pictures are shared, and one shows Jenny’s suspicion through a comment that reads, “it [the picture] looks like it came from a magazine.” Sumit replies with, “thanks but [I am] not a cover model.”

An August 7, 2012 post seems to be where the 90 Day Fiancé star revealed his true identity to Jenny. Sumit writes that he’s “guilty” and Jenny lovingly writes, “I [know] u are guilty but i forgave u so lets just move on okay.” Sumit’s last public post as Michael is on September 12, 2012, indicating that he could have moved on to chatting with Jenny on his actual profile. Despite their ups and downs, it’s clear this couple has built a real love for one another over their eight-year relationship.
