Fans of the Discovery Channel’s Alaskan Bush People are beginning to wonder how real the show really is. For years, the family has roughed it in the wilderness, but viewers are starting to think it is staged.

The Browns originally raised their children in the wild of the Alaskan bush for over thirty years. They were forced to vacate their land due to Ami’s cancer battle. The family all moved together to the Pacific Northwest of Washington State, where they built a new Brown Town to call their own. The Discovery Channel show is a documentary series that follows the Brown family around; the family’s goal is to not become like other American families. The Browns have chosen to remove themselves from the culture that they believe is hindering their growth, to the point where the family can go six months without coming into contact with an outsider. The clan even has their own accent and dialect, thanks to the years they have spent isolated from other humans.

Alaskan Bush People is said to be an unscripted reality TV show and many viewers find it outrageously entertaining. The family has been on TV screens since 2014. In the early days, fans loved watching Bear Brown jump from tree to tree. They also loved watching Bam Bam Brown riling himself up, and enjoyed seeing the two daughters (Rain and Bird) bond over stick dolls. In recent times, the family dynamic has changed, and fans would like to know if the show has started being scripted.

A lot has changed for the family. Matt Brown, the oldest son, did a stint in rehab. Bam fell in love with a producer and left for a little while. On top of that, Gabe and Noah both found women who were happy to live on top of a mountain with them. Alaskan Bush People season 20 is currently airing and the cameras are following the children around a bit more closely these days.

Raiven Adams. who is the estranged baby mama of Bear, has blown the lid off the show by claiming that it is just not real. She took to her Instagram Live and slammed the reality show, saying: “None of it is real. About 10 percent of it is real.” The new mother went on to say that when she was last there, the only two people who lived on the mountain were Rain and Bird and they stayed “in trailers.” The blow came when Raiven mentioned that none of the siblings were close or liked each other, except the girls. She revealed, “no one gets along.”

Fans are not entirely sure if Raiven was a trusted source since she and Bear are constantly arguing and getting back together. Many feel she wanted to try and hurt the Alaskan Bush People family. For as long as fans want to watch the family fight bears and fires, the show will continue to air.
