Animal Crossing How To Tour Other Vacation Homes & Share Your Own

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Happy Home Paradise DLC allows players to connect with other designers and show off all the hard work in their Happy Home Network portfolios. Much like the dream function, which was added in July 2020, players can use their internet connection to tour the vacation homes and facilities of other designers at any time. This social function makes it easy to visit other players’ properties and get a glimpse at the vacation getaways that Animal Crossing’s interior designers are creating.

After designing over 12 vacation homes and remodeling the first three facilities, Lottie will upgrade the Happy Home Network app to include a Showroom. The Showroom allows players to view designs, follow other designers, and post their own portfolios. By selecting a design, players can tour the home and even snap a few photos for inspiration.

Each Happy Home Paradise player will get a Happy Home Network ID when they first enter the Showroom. This ID can be shared with friends or posted online so others can come and visit their archipelago’s properties, and players can search for a Happy Home Network ID to find their friends’ portfolios. The player’s passport will also be updated to show their Happy Home Network ID, but it can be removed if they would prefer to keep their portfolio private.

How To Use Animal Crossing’s Happy Home Paradise Showroom

By pressing the + button in the Happy Home Network app, players can open Happy Home Paradise’s Showroom. This requires an internet connection, as well as a Nintendo Switch Online or Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. The Showroom allows players to view the portfolios and designs of other players and post designs of their own. The photographs that players have taken as they complete designs will be featured in the portfolio, and up to 10 designs can be posted.

Selecting a design will give Animal Crossing players the option to tour it, along with information about the property such as its location, season, and which villagers vacation there. Villagers can’t be spoken to in vacation homes, but visiting a facility will give the players the option to speak with their patrons and staff. Players can also enter camera mode and snap photographs with a watermark of the creator’s name and Happy Home Network ID. By speaking with Wardell, the creator’s custom designs can be viewed and downloaded.

Pressing Y on the design page will allow players to view the rest of the designer’s portfolio, and pressing X will let players follow the designer so their posts become available on the timeline. There’s also an option to report designs that have inappropriate content, and Nintendo will remove designs that violate its guidelines.

Players can choose to either post their designs publicly or only make them available on the timelines of their followers through the HHN Settings in their Happy Home Network portfolio. This portfolio can also be customized with 8 different colors, and posts can be swapped out and arranged however the player wishes to present them. Designs can be posted to social media through the portfolio by selecting the design and pressing the + button. This will post the design’s photo with a stamp of the property’s name, as well as the creator’s name and Happy Home Network ID.
