Century Age of Ashes How to Hatch New Dragons

A big draw of Century: Age of Ashes is flying and fighting on dragons, and players can collect more of these magnificent creatures by hatching baby dragons. While each class in Century: Age of Ashes has a different kind of dragon, abilities come from the various class skills and not the dragons themselves. New dragons are usually purely cosmetic, and getting new ones requires players to hatch an egg.

Once players have found an egg, they must hatch and nurture the dragon inside to adulthood. There are currently 100 different types of egg in Century: Age of Ashes with more options likely to come in future updates. Eggs can be obtained by leveling up in Century: Age of Ashes, or players can purchase one through the shop, though this can cost real money. Players who purchased the Wyvern or Behemoth packs will receive one or two epic dragon eggs to hatch right away.

To hatch an egg in Century: Age of Ashes, players must equip it to the Nest prior to a match. This will give players a list of growth steps – objectives to complete before the egg will hatch. These objectives can be completed by playing the game and gaining experience. Once players earn enough XP, they will receive a notification that their egg is ready to hatch. This will result in a new baby dragon.

Raising Baby Dragons in Century Age of Ashes

Once Century: Age of Ashes players have completed the steps needed to hatch their dragons and watched the pretty hatching animation, the new baby dragon will require a few more growth steps before it reaches adulthood and can be ridden into any of the major game modes. All the growth steps must be completed before the player can ride their dragon, which usually means playing at least four matches in any game mode. Growth steps can include anything from hitting enemies with fireballs a number of times to earning some amount of XP. It’s important to keep in mind that, the rarer the baby dragon, the more growth steps will be required to hatch and raise it. Players looking to raise an army should be prepared and willing to put in some serious grind time.

If possible, players should make sure an egg is always equipped to the nest to avoid wasting playtime. Whether players are more interested in the combat or collection aspect of Century: Age of Ashes, gathering new dragons is an important aspect of Century’s free-to-play model.
