Doctor Psycho had been first introduced in 1943 and was created by the original author of Wonder Woman’s original adventures, William Moulton Marston. He first appeared in Wonder Woman #5 as a murderous psychopath – which is no rarity for comic book villains! However, he is known for a specific hatred of all women. He is also a medical doctor who dealt with a lot of humiliation due to his irascible personality and short stature.
Over the years he has come a long way from the man who was wronged by his former fiancé. The character’s powers have been reinvented in The New 52 making him an even more of a dangerous foe to face. From the time he was first created his history has been altered many times making him into the character that many love today.

This fanart was created by Phil-Cho on DeviantArt, it presents a new, more realistic, take on Doctor Psycho. Usually, this character is depicted differently as he’s often shown in a state of madness, with disheveled hair and a mad look in his eyes. The artist did a great job of reinventing Doctor Psycho’s look. He changed how he used to be perceived while still keeping in mind all of his characteristics. This fanart of Dr. Psycho is supposed to represent a version of him from Earth-27.

The character’s posture and features are drawn in a way that gives off an eerie vibe. The black and white background does an amazing job of representing Dr. Psycho’s psionic powers.

Dr. Psycho has an interesting backstory, filled with frustration and anger that is mostly directed towards women – and the artist captured it perfectly. He’s drawn the character sporting his usual bow tie and dark messy hair, staying true to his depiction from the comic books.

In his Pre-Crisis appearances, he was a hypnotist that used his occult skills to draw ectoplasm into the physical world by using his victims, which he shaped into various disguises and beings. The character is depicted as in the comics and the Harley Quinn TV show with the hypnotic flair at its forefront.

He is a telepathic super-villain who was originally presented as Wonder Woman’s enemy who fixated his pathological hatred of women into fantasies of revenge against her.
From the beginning, his motives were misogynistic and violently sadistic which is why he battled Wonder Woman on numerous occasions. He tormented people the closest to her in an effort to separate Diana Prince from her friends to doom her in isolation. Luckily, she’d end up defeating him by the end of the day.

Art for this one was drawn by the-invader-trixie from Tumgir. This drawing is a great take on his character as it was inspired by the new TV show, Harley Quinn. The helmet in Dr. Psycho’s hand amplifies brain waves causing it to supercharge his powers. He can also use the helmet to take control of other people’s minds.
The artist did a great job capturing the type of role he plays in the TV show by drawing the damaged helmet and the closed frustrated fist with a scheming expression.

This fanart has once again been inspired by the new Harley Quinn TV series. In the show, he is presented as “an angry misogynist dwarf with telekinesis.” He has also suffered from a Napoleon complex since he was a child. In the series, he decided to become a villain after an incident with the Ferris wheel when he realized he enjoys seeing other people suffer.

This depiction of the character is drawn by xanexcaligula, with his signature delusional look in his eyes and an evil smile. Doctor Psycho is a unique and overlooked character, whose original origin story makes you pity the character but as time goes on and reveals his true nature, it makes you despise him for his actions and beliefs. Doctor Psycho was also one of the few villains to be modernized in the early issues of the Post-Crisis on Infinite Earths issues.
2 Pity Party
In this fanart, the artist must have been inspired by the scene from the Harley Quinn TV show in which Doctor Psycho woke up in his bedroom at the Gotham Mall. The character becomes a regular in the television animated series, and shows him in a bit of different light to the audience.
Dr. Psycho reluctantly joins forces with Harley Quinn. He is constantly annoyed by the women surrounding him and the artist did an amazing job capturing his irritation with the situation he is in.

1 Underestimated Power
The fan art made by journeystudios gives us another amazing and unique drawing of Doctor Psycho. The background gives us another take of how his powers are interpreted by some people. In The New 52 Doctor Psycho first appears in Superboy where he possesses the powers of astral projection, telepathy, telekinesis, mind control, projection of destructive blasts of psionic energy, levitation, and psionic energy construct creation.
Even though he possesses a lot of power he doesn’t have enough control to push it to its full potential. By siphoning mental energies from other individuals with psionic powers such as Superboy, he can obtain more energy which makes him a very interesting and dangerous character.
