DC Just Revealed A Huge Detail About Bane’s Death

Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Joker #3!

DC Comics just confirmed a new huge detail about Infinite Frontier’s A-Day, which saw villains like Bane dead. After the attack, it was assumed by fans that Scarecrow was the villain behind the deadly assault on Arkham Asylum. However, Batman recently suggested that he believes someone else is the true culprit. He doesn’t have a good guess as of right now, but he’s pretty sure it isn’t Scarecrow. This was a shock to readers as DC has been heavily hinting that Scarecrow was behind it. A major factor behind this theory is that it was revealed Scarecrow faked his death, but is really alive.

In the world of the comics, A-Day was pinned on the Joker. The M.O. of the attack almost perfectly fits Scarecrow. However, he was assumed to be dead. Therefore, the people of Gotham had to find someone else to pin it on. That’s where Joker comes into the mix. Everyone is hunting Joker, including many of DC’s villains, because they are sure that he committed the heinous crime, which has affected them in differing ways. However, in The Joker comic, it has been revealed that while everything is going down in Gotham, Joker has been vacationing. The question of who is the true culprit isn’t only on Batman’s mind, but it’s now on Joker’s too.

In The Joker #3 by James Tynion IV, Guillem March, and Arif Prianto, Joker reveals to Jim Gordon that he has been set up. This is heavily hinted at in the recent issues of the series as Joker has been away in an entirely different country. With Joker claiming to be innocent, who is the true culprit of A-Day? And why did they set Joker up? These are some of the burning questions that will hopefully be answered very soon. This could be one of DC’s biggest mysteries in a long time, and is certainly the largest of the Infinite Frontier era.

With Scarecrow supposedly dead, Joker is the obvious next culprit for a gas-related attack in Gotham. So, it makes sense that Scarecrow or his associates could be the ones behind it as his death was faked. But with Batman’s contradicting views, the main culprit is currently unknown. However, it seems like Gordon may find some answers soon as he’s now, presumably, on the case. A great conspiracy is cooking and Joker might just be on the side of the angels, for this one time.

Fans should keep an eye out for all the Batman-related comics that are coming out week-by-week, as DC Comics drops little hints about the truth of A-Day. Joker is in a mess as everyone blames the attack on him and maybe he will somehow aid Jim Gordon and Batman to find the real culprit. That’s a possibility as Joker is being positioned as more of an anti-hero in his new comic series. The question of who killed Bane and everyone else in Arkham remains prominent as DC progresses through Infinite Frontier’s latest issues. The Joker #3 is available in comic book shops and on digital platforms now.
