Ubisoft added new content to Far Cry 6 called the Vaas: Insanity DLC, letting players become the Far Cry 3 villain for some roguelike gameplay. Players start the finale with a pistol and work their way up to become stronger. The Vaas: Insanity DLC in Far Cry 6 picks up from the final encounter between Vaas and Jason in Far Cry 3. After the confrontation, Vaas is awoken by Citra as she wants him to find the three pieces of the Silver Dragon blade. Vaas is forced to locate the three pieces as Citra will only let him escape the horrors of his mind if he finds the missing pieces.
The finale in Far Cry 6’s Vaas: Insanity DLC can be more challenging than usual, as the gameplay for this particular mission takes a roguelike approach. If players die during the final mission, they will lose all inventory items and start again. To circumvent this possibility, players should first make sure they have skills that will help with healing. It is also a good idea that players unlock and upgrade weapons that deal a lot of damage, such as the grenade launcher. Finally, if players want to earn more money during the finale, they should equip temporary perks to earn more cash in Far Cry 6.
To get started, players will first need to locate the three Silver Dragon blade pieces to commence the finale of Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity. The three missing pieces can be found in the prison, the volcano, and Citra’s temple. After players have obtained the three Silver Dragon blade pieces, they should use the Wingsuit to return to the compound. Once players reach the compound, a cutscene will trigger asking Vaas to get prepared.
Far Cry 6 DLC – How To Beat Vaas: Insanity’s 20 Wave Finale
Once Citra’s memory is triggered in Far Cry 6’s Vaas: Insanity DLC, interact with her to start the Citra’s Onslaught mission. Once the finale begins, most waves can be defeated by camping in a building located in the southeast region. Players can place explosives like proximity mines and claymores at the two entrances of the building to clear incoming waves. If players get overwhelmed by enemies in the building, they should leave the area but stay within the purple aura to spread out some enemies. Here are some additional tips players should keep in mind when attempting the Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity finale:
- Complete the first five waves, which will end the encounter. At first, players will encounter human soldiers, wild animals, and ghosts. Then a factory door will open, but players should not enter and let the 60-second timer lapse.
- Clear the subsequent four additional waves and do not enter the doorway that will open again. After the 60-second timer lapses again, a further four waves of enemies will appear.
- Ammo, grenades, gadgets, and syringes replenish at the start of each set of waves.
- Repeat the process until players start to see Jason Brody and Citra clones. Their appearance means players are near the end of the finale. It’s worth noting; players cannot pick up the weapons carried by either Jason or Citra.
- Keep clearing foes with powerful weapons until all of the enemies from the 20th wave are defeated.
