The Museum Date
After an awkward finish to their first date, Ross and Rachel’s second date gets off to a bad start when he is called into work at the museum. They make the best of it though and end up sharing one of their most romantic moments on Friends as they stargaze in the planetarium, leading to them spending the night together in the museum.
With a season and a half of tension building up as viewers waited to see if they would ever get together, watching Ross and Rachel have a special first time is rewarding. It is a sweet moment underscored by the right amount of humor and the perfect song choice.
The Prom Video
Over the course of the show, Ross spends a significant amount of time hung up on Rachel with his crush going all the way back to high school but Rachel gets to see just how much he cares about her when the group watches a video from their prom night. When Ross receives a drunken voicemail from Rachel in which she confesses her feelings for him, he makes the decision to break up with Julie. The pair later talk about it at Central Perk as Rachel locks up. After storming out, Ross returns and they share a passionate kiss.
The scene is an excellent microcosm of their entire relationship as they seemingly allow circumstances and bad timing to keep them apart before ultimately finding a way to be together. Chandler And Monica’s Proposal

The two-part episode “The One With The Proposal” does a great job of building to this moment, giving satisfying closure to Monica’s relationship with Richard and showing Chandler’s emotional growth. The scene itself is beautifully done, giving both of the characters the opportunity to declare their love for each other in a sweet and genuine way.
Chandler Tells Monica He Loves Her
When Chandler’s hatred for Thanksgiving grows even stronger after the revelation of Monica’s revenge motive in the incident that resulted in Chandler losing his pinky toe, Monica attempts to make it up to him by putting the turkey over her head and dancing.
This moment is so endearing that it prompts Chandler to say that he loves her for the first time. It is a hilarious scene with great physical comedy that suddenly becomes romantic as Chandler is moved to profess his feelings.
Phoebe And Mike’s Wedding
Everything appears to be going wrong at Phoebe and Mike’s wedding as a giant blizzard knocks out the power at the wedding venue and prevents the band and photographer from showing up. However, the group is able to scramble and put together a gorgeous outdoor wedding in the snow.
The result is an intimate and beautiful wedding that incorporates each of Phoebe’s friends in a meaningful way. After nearly 10 seasons of Phoebe talking about her dysfunctional family, seeing her friends rally around her and listening to her call Mike her family makes for a touching moment that fans love to revisit.
Chandler And Monica’s Wedding
Chandler and Monica’s wedding gets off to a bumpy start when he gets cold feet after mistakenly thinking that Monica is pregnant. Everything eventually comes together as Chandler returns and delivers his heartfelt vows, and Joey arrives in time to officiate.
The scene is the perfect culmination of Chandler and Monica’s romance and shows Chandler’s growth as he comes to embrace the idea of becoming a parent with Monica. Chandler and Monica are the best couple in the show and this scene is a great celebration of their relationship.
Rachel Comes Back
In the series finale, fans finally get their answer about whether or not Ross and Rachel will find a way to make it work. After racing to catch Rachel at the airport before she leaves to move to Paris, Ross tells Rachel his feelings for her but she seemingly gets on the plane anyway.
However, as Ross listens to a voicemail from Rachel, she appears at his apartment and tells him that she got off the plane to be with him. After years of watching Ross and Rachel get together and break up, seeing them end up together was the only way the show could end. The suspense built up by the voicemail and sudden reveal that Rachel is standing in Ross’ apartment is a great emotional moment that still brings a smile to fans’ faces no matter how many times they rewatch it.
