Here Are The Best TV Shows And Movies Coming To Netflix In October 2018

It’s the spookiest season of the year – and Netflix has something for everyone with their new additions for October 2018.

Unsurprisingly, the streaming service is getting ready for Halloween by adding plenty of horror, from classics like The Shining to the brand new Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina. However, there are lots of other options for those viewers who aren’t obsessed with all things scary! In addition to some great flicks from the past few decades, Netflix is also continuing to add to their original programming, with new seasons of Big Mouth and Daredevil, as well as a new British drama and a couple of film festival favorites to binge while eating too much Halloween candy (and then buying more for the actual trick or treaters, of course).

15. The Shining

Start the month with this classic adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name starring Jack Nicholson. The Shining may be a movie that has been parodied to death since its release in 1980, but that doesn’t make it any less frightening – and who wouldn’t be terrified of creepy twins, elevators full of blood, and an insane family man with an axe? And of course, this is far from the only Stephen King adaptation available on the streaming service, so get ready for a binge…

Arriving: October 1

14. Blade (& Blade II)

Last month, superhero fans were thrilled to see Marvel’s Black Panther hit Netflix, and now an earlier black superhero is also coming to the streaming service: Blade. Both Blade and Blade II are being added to the Netflix catalog at the start of the month, and the story of the super-powered vampire hunter is a perfect binge for horror fans and superhero lovers. Unfortunately (or perhaps now), Blade: Trinity is not on the streaming service, so fans can’t marathon the whole trilogy quite yet.
