How to Power Up in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

In the newest installment of the Assassin’s Creed series, players can take control of the Viking Eivor to raid settlements in England, secure clan alliances, and loosen the Templar’s control of Europe. In Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, players will need to keep Eivor in tip-top shape to make their battles easier and strengthen their clan’s settlement in England. The more skills Eivor can unlock, the stronger they’ll be.

Skill Points can be used in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla to unlock different skills, attacks, and bonuses throughout the game that overall, make Eivor more powerful. There are three main skill trees that Eivor will start out with that branch out into even more. Starting with melee, stealth, and assassination trees, there are many different skills that Eivor can specialize in, and players can also respec their skill points after they have been spent. For every Skill Point that is spread, Eivor’s Power Level will go up. Restricted areas will have a recommended Power Level that Eivor should reach before taking on its inhabitants. First, players will need to get Skill Points to spend.

How to Get Skill Points in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Every time a player earns XP in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, they work towards earning Skill Points. Players will earn two skill points every time the XP square in the corner of the screen is filled. Varying amounts of XP can be earned for almost every activity, but completing quests are the most efficient way to earn a large amount of XP at a time.

Main Quests

Through quests, players can earn loot, XP, and make powerful allies. Players will get the opportunity to complete main story and side quests in the open world. Killing powerful enemies, bosses, and completing quests for allies will give players the most XP and loot. This will also help further the story, as well as unlock other important quests. Try to complete as many assassination attempts as possible while on a quest, explore every building, and kill all enemies to earn as much XP as possible.

Exploring

Players can also earn XP by finding new locations, as well as finding and completing mysteries. Mysteries are marked on the map by a glowing blue dot. Players won’t be able to track a mystery like a quest, but they can mark the mystery in order to reach the location. They will then have to investigate the area and search for things to interact with to solve the mystery. Often, players will need to think of a creative way to enter a building to collect loot and interact with interesting NPCs. Players can also climb to the top of viewpoints and synchronize in order to unlock more points on the map that players can target and investigate.

Open World Opportunities

If players truly want to maximize the amount of XP they can earn in one sitting, they should track the main story quest, fast travel to a viewpoint on the opposite side of the map, and complete every task they can on the way. Players can collect XP by hunting animals, speaking with NPC’s, and finding collectibles along their way. These tasks can all seem pretty knit-picky and boring stand along, but if players complete them on the way to a more important destination, it can make the traveling less tedious and purpose-driven. It also makes the game more realistic in the long run, and add to the role-playing experience.
