How to Upgrade Stables in Monster Hunter Stories 2 (& Get More Slots)

Due to the stables playing such a large role in Monster Hunter Stories 2, players will often be using it. However, because of this, the stables can quickly become full. When this happens, players will need to upgrade their stable to add more slots inside of it.

The stables are used for a lot more than just storing monsters. They can be used to change the current party, breed monsters, hatch eggs, and more. Initially, players will have plenty of space within their stables, but eventually, it will run out. Players will know that their stable is full, as they will be notified by a pop-up.

How to Increase the Stable Slots in Monster Hunter Stories 2

Often times the reason that players are notified about having a completely full stable, its due to monster breeding or found eggs. This is because after eggs have been laid, they won’t be able to hatch unless there is another stable slot available for them. For especially promising eggs and hatchlings, players will want to hurry on purchasing their next stable upgrade.

To fix this issue, players will need two things. They will need to collect a good number of bottle caps and head to a Melynx Inc merchant to purchase the stable blueprints. Luckily, it is highly unlikely that the player will use up all of their stable slots before unlocking Melynx Inc. There should a Melynx Inc. merchant in every town that players visit after the company has been unlocked. They also are where players can purchase new hairstyles, expedition tickets, weapons, and new armors.

There are five different blueprints available to purchase, which will need to be bought in sequential order to slowly increase the space within the stables. If a player is late to this slow and steady growth process and has gotten pretty far into the game, these blueprints can be bought in bulk. Otherwise, players won’t unlock the next blueprint level until they have advanced further into the game.

Once purchased, players should gain a substantial number of new stable slots and allow more of the player’s monster eggs to hatch. Just remember that the higher level a player is the more eggs they will find and need to hatch. It will continue to need upgrading throughout the game until players have reached the maximum amount of space at blueprint five.
