Australian actress Lucy Fry has really started to make a splash in the world of film and television. She was born in Queensland Australia and went on to attend Brisbane Girls Grammar School.
Fry was very interested in the theatre even as a youth, and she trained with the company Zen Zen Zo. She had an uncredited role in the children’s television series H2O: Just Add Water, before landing herself a substantial starring role in the Australian show Lightning Point. Since then, she has gone on to have a number of other high-profile roles.

Though it was absolutely savaged by critics, it nevertheless managed to earn back quite a bit of money, earning over $10 million on a $3 million budget.

This is a pretty light film, a fun comedy produced in Australia. It focuses on a family whose suburban life is turned upside down when a cousin who is a pop star decides to come for a visit. Fry, of course, plays the star cousin in question, and she brings her usual charisma and charm to the role. Despite the fact that it’s a comedy, the film does pose some interesting questions about what it means to be a family and what it is that ties people together.

This film clearly sought to take advantage of the seemingly perpetual popularity of vampires. It is based on the bestselling series of books written by Richelle Mead. In the film, Fry plays a character named Lissa Dragomir, one of the two heroines who finds herself drawn into dark schemes at the heart of the titular academy.
Unfortunately, despite her charms as an actress, the film was a bit of a disaster among both critics and audiences. It was savaged by critics and only made $15 million on a $30 million budget.

This makes clear that Lucy Fry has the ability to act in films that are not just in the horror or teen genres. This film, stars Will Smith and Joel Edgerton as two policemen—one a human and one an orc—who are tasked with protecting an elf girl (played by Fry) and the magic wand of which she is the custodian. The film is quite an interesting one with a fascinating concept. It was, however, incredibly unpopular with critics, with a fairly dismal rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it seemed to be more popular with audiences, who responded well to it on social media. It has also been streamed countless times on Netflix.
5 Mako: Island of Secrets (6.9)
This Australian children’s program is actually a spinoff of H2O: Just Add Water. In it, a young man named Zac falls into a magical pool and is transformed into a mermaid. Fry plays one of the three mermaids who investigate the young man and ultimately decide to journey onto land in order to live among humans and learn more about them. Lyla ultimately develops feelings for Zac, though she continues to exhibit the determination and hot-headedness that make her such a compelling and irresistible character. The series ran for three seasons.
4 Lightning Point (7.0)
This series, which only ran for one season, is an Australian production that combines a teen drama with elements of fantasy and science fiction. It focuses on two aliens who become stranded in an Australian town and become part of teen life. Fry, with her signature charm and charisma, plays the character of Zoey, who has more trouble than her companion in fitting in with the residents of Earth. Needless to say, she also finds herself attracted to a human named Brandon. Though the series had its charms, it only ran for one season.
3 Wolf Creek (7.2)
In this horror series, Fry shows that she has the ability to move out of the realm of fantasy and teen drama into horror. This series is actually a spinoff of the two films Wolf Creek and Wolf Creek 2. In this series, Fry portrays a character named Emma, who is left for dead after a murderer slaughters her family in Australia. She then embarks on a mission of revenge against him. The series is quite chilling and even disturbing in some ways, and Fry plays the avenging character with her usual charisma.
2 Mr. Church (7.6)
Once again proving that she has acting talent that exceeds simply appearing in teen dramas and genre television shows, in 2016 Fry appeared in this film about a cook who becomes a mentor to several generations of women. Eddie Murphy is the main star of the film, but Fry plays one of the women that he takes under his wing. There is undeniable chemistry between the two of them, even though Fry’s character is something of a spoiled brat that shows too little gratitude for the man who was responsible for her success.
1 Godfather of Harlem (8.0)
Moving back into television, Fisher joined the cast of Godfather of Harlem, a crime drama series about the renowned crime boss Bumpy Johnson who, after he is released from prison, has to try to take back control of the neighborhood that he once ruled with an iron fist. In the series, Fry plays the character of Stella Gigante, the daughter of Vincent Gigante (played by Vincent D’Onofrio). The series airs on the network Epix and has already been renewed for a second season. It has also received almost universal critical acclaim from critics.
