9 She Was Crona’s Mother
Medusa was also Crona’s mother, with Crona being born as a boy but Medusa raising him as a girl. She often abused him which did serious damage to Crona’s mental health. Medusa would lock him in dark rooms and wouldn’t give him food for days if Crona couldn’t do everything she wanted.
While Crona was originally sensitive and peaceful, Medusa’s constant torture and mental abuse turned him into a killing machine. Medusa’s troubled and evil relationship with her own son showed Soul Eater fans that she is truly one of the most wicked antagonists of the show.
8 She Resurrected Kishin Asura
While Asura served as a warlord in the Eight Shinigami Legions and was its strongest member, his madness overtook and he became a Kishin. He had to be sealed away by his own father to protect the world.
Medusa hated the world as is. She wanted big changes and hoped if she resurrected Kishin Asura the world would go back to motion. Soul Eater’s heroes did everything in their power to stop her but she was successful in resurrecting Death’s oldest son, Kishin Asura.
7 She Was In Love With Dr. Stein
While Medusa was evil, she was also capable of developing positive feelings towards others. She had a huge crush on Dr. Stein probably because they were both doctors who loved experimenting often without limits.
Medusa confessed her feelings to Dr. Stein, though he never reciprocated them and even told her that he didn’t believe Medusa can truly comprehend what true love was. While Medusa’s love was most certainly very different from others, she did love some people in her own wicked way.
6 She Was Able To Manipulate Anyone

Medusa even called Crona a failure many times since she knew the boy would want to do better and would do whatever she wanted for some affection. Medusa didn’t only use manipulation to achieve her goals but because she truly enjoyed controlling others.
5 She Was A Genius
While Medusa was able to wield powerful magic and was a skilled fighter, her biggest strength was her mind. Medusa was a genius and one of the smartest characters in Soul Eater. She could easily trick and outsmart any of her opponents.
Thanks to her intellect she was able to achieve most of her goals and defeat her opponents with ease. Medusa’s strength was her mental capacity, though it was also her weakness since she became too self-confident and eventually turned completely mad.
4 She Was One Of The Strongest Characters
Thanks to Medusa’s magical powers, her combat training, and her intellect, she easily became one of the strongest characters in Soul Eater. While there were plenty of powerful characters in the show none had the same determination and willpower as Medusa had.
She wasn’t afraid to do anything or sacrifice anything to achieve her goals. Her madness made her even more dangerous and powerful. Medusa was one of the most feared characters in the series as well as the strongest female character in Soul Eater.
3 She Was The Most Evil Character
Medusa was not only outstanding because of her strengths and supernatural powers but also because she was the show’s most evil character. She enjoyed torturing, manipulating, and hurting even the people she claimed she loved.
Medusa also didn’t mind killing hundreds or even thousands just to achieve her goals. She loved being bad and was pure evil, and eventually that caused her death.
2 She Was One Of The Gorgon Sisters
Medusa’s family was feared because they were well-known witch sisters who enjoyed causing pain and created panic and destruction wherever they went.
She had two other powerful and just as evil sisters— Arachne Gorgon and Shaula Gorgon— who both died fighting. While Medusa was the strongest sister they all used vector arrow spells and had similar magical capabilities. Their family insignia was an arrow because of their use of the vector arrow spells.
1 She Died
Medusa had many strong opponents some of who were physically more powerful than herself. Yet, thanks to her cunning mind she was able to defeat them easily. For a long while, Medusa seemed undefeatable. Especially, since she was able to split her soul into small snakes, and prolong her life when her body was destroyed.
While this was an especially useful skill to have it eventually didn’t help Medusa escape death. In the end, Maka was able to kill her with Soul.
