Of course, we can have our pick of MCU feature films, why wouldn’t we with this service? But there are also some incredible Marvel series to enjoy as well.

From vintage Saturday-morning cartoons to more modern Marvel adventures, Disney+ has more than enough content to satisfy the truest believers. We couldn’t just rank them all ourselves, but fortunately, we have the help of IMDb. Submitted for your approval, IMDb’s ten best Marvel series on Disney+.

10 Spider-Man (1981) (7.0)

Though perhaps not as memorable as the series from the late 1960s, the ’80s Spider-Man animated series definitely has some dated charm that feels right at home in the early days of Marvel Comics. Taking designs straight out of the funnies, the show has as much kitschy flair as it does action.

It’s about as basic of a Spider-Man property as you can get. Peter Parker is living his life in New York City, some flamboyant and crazy supervillain hits the scene, Spidey saves the day, roll credits. Complex it is not, but it’s still a great way to kill some time and get your superhero fix.

9 Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Hero (7.0)

If you’re looking for something to satisfy your craving for the likes of Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and Thor, Avengers Assemble might be the thing you need to scratch that super-itch. It’s the animated adventures of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as they defend the city from the likes of Red Skull, Kang the Conquerer, and Dr. Doom.

One of the many Disney-animated Marvel series available to stream, you can never go wrong with the Avengers. This series is especially enjoyable if you have a taste for some of Marvel’s lesser-used heroes like Iron Fist and Luke Cage. If you are even a base-level fan, you’ll be satisfied.

8 Marvel’s Runaways (7.1)

Marvel and Hulu’s live-action superhero series joins the Disney+ library as a group of teen meta-humans square off against their supervillain parents. They’re no X-Men or Big Hero 6, but they are definitely an interesting group of gifted youngsters. It’s your favorite superhero elements grounded in just enough reality to make the impossible plausible.

The intensity, danger, and power behind this series are all elements that would make up an excellent film for the MCU, but we’re happy with the series to tide us over. It’s definitely something we can see dedicated Marvel fans investing themselves in for a season or two.

7 Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (7.2)

A spin-off of the ’80s Spider-Man cartoon, Spidey gets by with a little help from his friends, Ice Man and Firestar. What results is an unusual superhero team-up, but not an unwanted or an unentertaining scenario. And when they have to face off against the likes of Doctor Doom, the Green Goblin, and Magneto.

6 Guardians of the Galaxy (7.4)

Just like the Avengers, it wasn’t long until Disney Animation decided to give the Guardians of the Galaxy an animated series of their very own. Frankly, we couldn’t be happier. Though at times it’s a bit of a mishmash between film canon and comic book canon, it’s still as entertaining as the rag-tag team of spacers has ever been.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot are all ready to party in this bombastic series. They’ve faced everything from Carnage-like symbiotes to the likes of Thanos himself. Part sci-fi-space-adventure, part comedy, all Marvel magnificence, we’re definitely hooked on the feelin’.

5 Assembling a Universe (7.7)

ABC’s documentary series about crafting the incredible franchise known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe has to have a place on our list. From Captain America to Agents of SHIELD, it’s practically the ultimate visual guide to the Marvel movies and should definitely be the top tier of things for seasoned fans to watch.

Assembling a Universe is the perfect behind-the-scenes look into one of the most beloved and successful universes ever brought to the big or small screen. If you’re a Marvel fan of any caliber, we highly recommend this peek behind the comic panels.

4 X-Men Evolution

Not the only animated X-Men series on the service, but one that definitely takes more than a few notes from the original movie trilogy. Just look at the designs for Wolverine, Sabertooth, and Professor Xavier. It’s definitely got a style all its own, and we can understand why it’s so loved.

This version of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters sees them with a more 2000s-era vibe that translates surprisingly well to the world of Marvel’s mutants. It’s a great way to get younger comic-fans into the series, but not the only one on our list.

3 Agent Carter (7.9)

Focusing on SHIELD agent Peggy Carter, Agent Carter is ABC’s prequel series to Captain America: The First Avenger. For those true-believers who don’t mind the in-between stories of the MCU, this is a great way to get your fix when you aren’t watching Agents of SHIELD. Though Cap’s on ice during the series, we’re willing to overlook it.

Peggy definitely has more admirers than good old Steve Rogers in her fanbase, but even those super-fans couldn’t save her from cancellation. However, Disney+ has her on standby for us to enjoy. She might find herself another season if we’re lucky.

2 Spider-Man: The Animated Series (8.3)

There are many Marvel fans who call this the ideal Spider-Man series, and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t understand why. Though Disney+ doesn’t have all the episodes readily available, it does have some of the series best episodes to stream at your leisure.

Some of Spidey’s best adventures, best fights, and best villains all come from this ’90s hit. With its clever writing, comic-book-inspired art style, it’s a near-perfect representation of Marvel’s most popular superhero. We might not have it all, but we have enough to make our Spidey-Sense tingle off the charts.

1 X-Men (8.9)

The more decorated Marvel fans amongst you will have no doubt predicted this series appearance quicker than Professor X. It’s no surprise that the ’90s X-Men animated series makes the top of our list, it is perhaps one of the most beloved Marvel series ever created, and we have to admit we feel the same way.

All the best X-Men are ready for action, Wolverine, Cyclops, Gambit, Storm and more are ready to bring the pain to the forces of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants. The series has all the thrills and heart of the original comic series and must be the top tier of every Marvel buff’s binge-list.
