The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

The show Hart Of Dixie tells the tale of Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson), a doctor from the Big Apple who decides to try small town life. Bluebell, Alabama isn’t what she was expecting, although it’s hard to know how she thought she would survive in such a small place. Soon enough, Zoe finds friendship, love, and wins over the town’s residents, even those who don’t want her to upend the medical practice that has been treating everyone for decades.

Zoe meets some great characters and fans are drawn to all of them. Let’s look at the MBTI® of each of the main characters on this girly and sweet show.

10 AnnaBeth Nass: ESTJ

AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) is Lemon’s pal and she’s a true Southern belle. She’s adamant about continuing traditions, like being part of a group called Belles of Bluebell, and she and Lemon even go into catering together as AnnaBeth is amazing in the kitchen.

AnnaBeth would be an ESTJ or “the efficient organizer.” Between the Belles group, her catering business, and the way that she sets goals in her personal life, she’s tough and won’t let anything stand in her way. These types can speak their minds, no problem, and they like to be productive.

9 Tom Long: ISTP

The Rammer Jammer is the main restaurant/bar in the small town, so it makes sense that Zeo spends a lot of time there. She meets Tom (Ross Phillipps), who has a huge crush on her that she doesn’t reciprocate since she’s much older than he is.

Tom is a very traditional person, saving himself for marriage, having a traditional wedding, and being a good guy. His MBTI would be ISTP or “the logical pragmatist.” He lives by the rules that he sets out for himself, like kissing Wanda a few times daily (three, to be exact).

8 Wanda Long: ISFJ

Fans don’t know a lot about Wanda (Mallory Moye), who marries Tom and is a waitress at the Rammer Jammer, but she’s also a very traditional person. She lives a simple life in her small town, comfortable working at the bar.

Wanda and Tom have a baby girl, and as a wife, mother, and model employee, she seems like she would be an ISFJ or “the practical helper.” She has a lot of modesty, just like these types, and she’s someone who tries to be good to other people.

7 Crickett Watts: INFP

The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

AnnaBeth and Lemon’s friend Crickett (Brandi Burkhardt) is also part of the Belles group. She’s an incredibly eager person who is probably too nice for her own good. People don’t think that Crickett is very smart, which is too bad because she means well.

Crickett’s MBTI would be INFP or “the thoughtful idealist.” She’s got an idea of how she wants life to be and she dreams of becoming a mother, but life has thrown her some curveballs. Crickett can seem kind of quiet and upset a lot of time, and INFPs are “selective and reserved.”

6 Levon Hayes: ENFP

The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

Cress Williams played Lavon, the town mayor who used to play football. He’s beloved in the town and basically a local celebrity.

Lavon is quirky and fun, with his pet alligator and ability to get along with anyone. His MBTI would be ENFP or “the imaginative motivator.” When people come to an ENFP with an issue, they’ll figure it out in an interesting and creative way. Lavon is devoted to being with Lemon forever, even if she’s with George and it takes her a while to realize that he’s the guy for her. ENFPs have leadership potential as they can get people feeling very motivated, just like Lavon.

5 Lemon Breeland: INTP

The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

Lemon (Jamie King) sounds just like an INTP or “the objective analyst.” These types are “precise” and “conceptual” which are two traits that Lemon has in spades.

Lemon is the perfect Southern girl who can’t believe that her life hasn’t turned out the way that she planned. She wants to run the Belles group, marry George, and have babies. Even though she’s committed to George, she can’t help but fall for Lavon, causing a lot of drama. But Lemon doesn’t want anything in her seemingly flawless life to go wrong. INTPs hate when others ignore them and what they have to say, which is definitely what Lemon does.

4 Wade Kinsella: ESFP

The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

Wade (Wilson Bethel) and Zoe have a great love story, mostly because they’re not a couple who fans might have expected to get together.

Wade is quirky and is totally his own person. He’s an ESFP or “the enthusiastic improviser.” He loves people, he’s one of the most social characters on the show, and he could honestly become best pals with anyone. This is why Zoe is drawn to him.

3 George Tucker: INFJ

The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

Scott Porter’s character George Tucker does his best to be a good person and do what people expect of him, but he can’t help breaking up with his fiance Lemon and creating a new vision for his future.

George would be an INFJ or “the insightful visionary.” He works as a lawyer and fans know that he’s intelligent, but he doesn’t treat Zoe that well when he acts like he wants to date her even though he’s still engaged to Lemon. These types have a sensitivity to them and like being around people. They always want people to tell them how they’re doing and feeling as they care deeply.

2 Brick Breeland: ISTJ

The MyersBriggs® Types Of Hart Of Dixie Characters

Lemon’s dad Brick (Tim Matheson) is the doctor in the small town who is super threatened by Zoe Hart’s arrival.

As a conservative doctor who doesn’t want things to ever change, Brick sounds like an ISTJ or “the responsible realist.” He is loyal to the town residents and wants to help them, so he has a soft and good side, but it takes him a while to warm up to any kind of change.

1 Zoe Hart:

TV fans know Rachel Bilson as the stylish Summer Roberts on The O.C. but she also did a great job portraying doctor Zoe Hart.

Zoe is an ENFJ or “the compassionate facilitator.” Even though she comes charging into Bluebell as a tough and independent NYC doctor, she slowly realizes that she loves the townspeople and she needs them, too. She’s often in a great mood, ready to take on the day, and she can lead others, too.
