Who’s in The Rhythm Section, and where have you seen them before? Directed by Reed Morano, the spy thriller was produced for $50 million and sets up a possible movie franchise. The Rhythm Section’s screenplay was written by Mark Burnell, based on his eponymous 1999 novel.
The Rhythm Section follows Stephanie Patrick, a woman who loses her entire family because of a plane crash. While processing survivor’s guilt, as she was supposed to be on the flight, Stephanie discovers that the tragedy could be part of a political conspiracy. She then trains to become an assassin, one who learns how to control her body under stressful situations through the help of a friend.
After numerous production delays, The Rhythm Section finally released in January 2020. The film’s heroine is a television star who successfully transitioned to a feature film career, while the supporting cast includes two prominent actors who many moviegoers will recognize from recent television roles. Blake Lively As Stephanie Patrick
The Rhythm Section stars Blake Lively as Stephanie Patrick, a traumatized woman who loses her family in a plane crash, and attempts to unravel a conspiracy.
Lively delivered a breakthrough performance as Bridget Vreeland in the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and later starred as Serena van der Woodsen in the TV series Gossip Girl. On the big screen, she last appeared in the 2018 film A Simple Favor.
Jude Law As Iain Boyd
Jude Law co-stars as Ian Boyd, a man who trains Stephanie Patrick — both physically and mentally.
A two-time Oscar nominee, Law is best known for performances in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, and Closer. He recently portrayed Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel, and currently stars as Lenny Belardo/Pope Pius XIII in The New Pope.

Max Casella as Leon Giler: A sleazy businessman. Max Casella is best known for movie roles in Jackie and Inside Llewyn Davis. He also portrays Michael Kessler in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and previously appeared on The Sopranos as Benny Fazio.
Geoff Bell as Green: One of Stephanie’s allies. Geoff Bell has appeared in Kingsman: The Secret Service and RocknRolla. He recently portrayed Jack Verhoeven in His Dark Materials.
Raza Jaffrey as Keith Proctor: An investigative journalist. Raza Jaffrey portrays Victor Dhar in Lost in Space. He also starred in Code Black and The Enemy Within.
Richard Brake as Lehmans: One of Stephanie’s targets. Richard Brake portrayed the Night King in Game of Thrones season 4 and Games of Thrones season 5. He also appeared in Batman Begins as Joe Chill, and recently had roles in both Mandy and 3 from Hell.
