Zelda Which Link Is The Most Powerful

The Legend of Zelda has always pit incarnations of Link against insurmountable odds across different eras of time. Throughout these ages, each Link has risen to the challenge. However, not every adventure has played out the same way, and not every challenge is equal. Therefore, some Links have proved themselves more powerful than others.

Every Link, starting with the first incarnation in Skyward Sword, has been a true hero to the lands of Hyrule and beyond. As the wheels of time have turned, however, different Links have faced different challenges. They have fought different opponents and acquired different abilities to accomplish their goals. Some have even failed over the course of their journeys, succumbing to the dark forces they oppose. Consequentially, it stands to reason that some Links are fiercer combatants than others. Of the numerous different incarnations of the hero, only three stands out firmly as the most powerful of the series.

The first Link that stands as a solid contender for the most powerful hero in Zelda history is The Legendary Hero. This is the Link seen tromping around in A Link to the Past, where he singlehandedly saved the realm from Ganon in the timeline where Ocarina of Time’s Link fails in his quest. However, that isn’t the last of this Link’s journeys. He’s been in more games than any other incarnation, including Link’s Awakening, Oracle of Ages, and Oracle of Seasons. As the most seasoned of all the Links, his experience and adaptability potentially make him the most dangerous.

Which Links Are the Most Heroic In The Legend Of Zelda?

Of course, in terms of versatility, no Link can possibly compare to the Hero of Time. Through his adventures in Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, the Hero of Time acquires a wide variety of abilities surpassing many of his rivals. Assuming Link is equipped with all 24 masks in the game, this Link can transform himself into a giant, a Deku, a Zora, and a Goron – gaining all of each species’ respective abilities. He can also transform into his powerful Fierce Deity form (which makes bosses trivial), increase his speed and agility via the Bunny Hood, and even read thoughts with the Mask of Truth. Top all of this off with the fact that he possesses the Ocarina of Time, which gives him control over time’s flow, and it’s hard to deny that the Hero of Time is as overpowered as they come.

The final Link who deserves consideration as the most powerful incarnation is the Hero of the Wild, star of Breath of the Wild. While it could be argued that his Age of Calamity counterpart should be considered superior, the Hero of the Wild’s initial failure to defeat Ganon makes his eventual victory much more meaningful. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s hero only defeated Ganon after receiving a tip from a time-traveling Guardian, and he also had the support of Hyrule’s entire prepared military force. Meanwhile, the Hero of the Wild defeated Calamity Ganon singlehandedly after the monster had already conquered Hyrule and lorded over it for 100 years.

Unsurprisingly, all of The Legend of Zelda’s Links is a close-cut competition. Regardless of the Link, every incarnation faces countless dangers on their quest and triumphs because they all inherit the spirit of the Hero from their Skyward Sword originator. In theory, they all have the courage and the inner strength to repel the forces of evil whenever they arise. Still, the individual accomplishments of heroes like those listed above rank them as exceptionally exceptional.
