“When you do three locations in a day, two dishes per location, it can very quickly escalate,” Fieri told People in the same interview linked above. “If you eat too much, and you get too much in your mouth, you overload your palate, you desensitize it.”

Before he leaves a dining spot, Fieri apparently leaves his mark in the form of a stencil on the restaurant and signs it.

At first, The Country Cat’s Adam Sappington didn’t like it. But now, he told Thrillist, “The whole thing ended up being so amazing, we love it now.” Sappington also said that diners like to take a photo of themselves next to Fieri’s stencil.

Fieri likes to make sure that the show’s judges are having a good time, even behind the scenes. Brandi Milloy, who served as a judge on the show, recalled how she was welcomed by Guy the moment she arrived in Santa Rosa, California, where the show films.

“When I arrived to my hotel, there was a handwritten note from Guy with wine and a basket of fruit welcoming me to the show,” Milloy wrote on Pop Sugar. Meanwhile, Fieri’s team also made sure she had her fill of gummy bears after Milloy stated how much she loves them.

3 Guy’s Grocery Games: An Episode Takes Over 12 Hours To Film

For Fieri, the crew, the judges, and all the contestants, working on the show is a true commitment. After all, you have to be prepared to film for over 12 hours just to get one episode done. Sure, the show is fast-paced and the contestants are only given a certain amount of time to cook.

However, that’s not all they have to do on the set. “After you compete, you sit down and do interviews, which can last two or three hours,” former contestant Tracy Shepos Cenami revealed while speaking with Delish.

2 Guy’s Grocery Games: The Show Donates Food Every Week

On the Guy’s Grocery Games set, they like to make sure that food doesn’t go to waste, so the show typically donates food to local food banks every Friday. Among the recipients of the food is Redwood Gospel Mission.

Its Director of Shelter and Recovery Ministries Chris Keys told North Bay Business Journal, “It’s of a quality we don’t typically get from other donations.”

1 Tournament Of Champions: Guy Brought Together Crews From Other Shows To Work On This Show

Tournament of Champions is Fieri’s newest show on Food Network. To make the show possible, he decided to bring all of his production crews together. While speaking with USA Today, the Food Network star explained, “We brought anybody and everybody to collaborate to make this happen.”
