Demon Slayer is currently one of the biggest names in anime. It’s a popular shonen action story set in 1910s Japan, where demons terrorize the night. It’s up to Demon Slayers like protagonist Tanjiro Kamado to save the day. While these slayers are all armed with unique Nichirin blades or katanas, it’s not an easy job.

Demon Slayer boasts some of the best animation and music in the industry. The anime also features some stellar voice acting from a cast of talented voice actors who really know how to bring these characters to life. If fans listen closely, they will recognize the voices of these talented actors from other popular anime series.

10 Natsuki Hanae Was In Attack On Titan & Platinum End

Tanjiro Kamado, is popular for being a hardworking but kind protagonist who fights for the sake of others, most of all his demon sister Nezuko. He trained for two hard years before he began his quest, and now he’ll gladly face the terrifying Twelve Kizuki if it means restoring Nezuko’s humanity.

Tanjiro’s voice actor, Natsuki Hanae has voiced many minor and major roles. He recently voiced the angel Revel in Platinum End, and Falco Grice in Attack on Titan. He also has a role in the upcoming Bleach season as the villainous Quincy character, Gremmy Thoumeaux.

9 Akari Kito Has Voiced Roles In TONIKAWA & Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun

Since she wears a bamboo muzzle and is often asleep to stave off her hunger for human flesh, Nezuko Kamado has few lines in the Demon Slayer anime. Still, her voice actor has been able to express Nezuko’s emotions through the few lines she had early on, and her humming, grunts, and whimpers.

Nezuko’s voice actor, Akari Kito, has voiced a large handful of roles in anime, including Tsukasa in TONIKAWA: Over the Moon For You and Nene Yashiro in Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun. She also had a role in In/Spectre as Kotoko.

8 Hiro Shimono Was In My Hero Academia & Attack On Titan

Zenitsu Agatsuma is a major character in the series. He is known for many things, from his cowardice and constant shouting to his charming crush on Nezuko. Most of all, he is a practitioner of thunder breathing, and when asleep, he can move with astonishing speed.

Zenitsu’s voice actor is Hiro Shimon, who also voices the flame villain Dabi in My Hero Academia and the supporting character Connie Springer in Attack on Titan. Additionally, he voices Nacht Faust in Black Clover and Rindo in Tokyo Revengers.

7 Yoshitsugu Matsuoka Had Roles In Food Wars! & Re:Zero

Inosuke Hashibira was raised by wild animals. As a result, he has sharp instincts and keen senses for tracking down demons. He also uses the unique beast breathing style in battle with his twin Nichirin blades, making him standout among the Demon Slayers.

Inosuke’s voice actor has been in a wide variety of roles, including Soma Yukihira in Food Wars!, and the villain Betelgeuse in Re:Zero. He also voices Futaro Uesugi in The Quintessential Quintuplets, and Nicol Ascart in My Next Life as a Villainess, a reverse-harem otome anime.

6 Takahiro Sakurai Had Roles In Fruits Basket & Berserk

Giyu Tomioka is the current water Hashira, meaning his fighting style is fairly similar to Tanjiro’s. When Nezuko became a demon, Giyu reluctantly spared Nezuko’s life when Tanjiro appealed to him. He’s also an associate of Shinobu Kocho, the insect Hashira.

Giyu’s voice actor, Takahiro Sakurai has an impressive resume. He voiced the flamboyant Ayame Sohma in Fruits Basket, the villainous knight Griffth in the 2016 Berserk anime, and Isshiki Satoshi in Food Wars!.

5 Saori Hayami Voiced Roles In Fairy Tail & My Next Life As A Villainess

Shinobu Kocho is the tiny but tough insect Hashira, with a unique fighting style. Rather than brute force, Shinobu uses poison on her Nichirin blade to take down demons much larger and stronger than herself. She is also a part of the butterfly estate, as her butterfly-shaped hair accessory would suggest.

Shinobu is voiced by Saori Hayami, a busy voice actor who portrayed the swordswoman Kagura Mikazuchi and the gentle otome heroine Maria Campbell in My Next Life as a Villainess. She also voices Toko Sakurai in the recent josei anime series My Senpai is Annoying.

4 Satoshi Hino Was In Akame Ga Kill! & Gintama

Kyojuro Rengoku is the energetic and confident flame Hashira who practiced diligently to succeed his father as the previous flame Hashira, and earn the right to wear his unique flame-based cloak. He was the star of the Mugen Train story arc, and gave his life fighting the Upper Moon Three, Akaza.

Kyojuro’s voice actor is Satoshi Hino, who voiced Ibara in the dark fantasy anime Akame Ga Kill! and Kamui in the popular satire series Gintama. He also had roles in diverse series such as Black Clover and Cells at Work!.

3 Katasuyuki Konishi Had Roles In Fire Force & Fairy Tail Zero

Tengen Uzui is the flashy sound Hashira and the star of the Entertainment District story arc. He unofficially succeeded Kyojuro as Tanjiro’s Hashira mentor and guide. Tengen wields two Nichirin blades bound by chains and has three shinobi “wives” who help him track down demons. He’s even got intelligent mice on his side.

Tengen’s voice actor is Katsuyuki Konishi, has voiced many roles in anime. He voiced Yuri Dreyar in Fairy Tail Zero, Juggernaut in Fire Force, Dreyfus in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Sheepshead in One Piece.

2 Toshihiko Seki Voiced Roles In Bleach & Hunter X Hunter

The archvillain, Muzan Kibutsuji, is the oldest and most powerful demon of all. He is the progenitor of all demons, including the Twelve Kizuki. Muzan will callously mutate or kill any human who crosses him. His brutal and pitiless nature makes him a chilling villain, even in Akaza’s eyes.

Muzan’s voice actor Toshihiko Seki, has voiced roles in several other anime series – Kaien Shiba the Soul Reaper in Bleach, Nen coach Wing in Hunter x Hunter, and Henmi Kazuo in the seinen action anime Golden Kamuy.

1 Akira Ishida Was In Food Wars! & Cells At Work!

Akaza is the fearsome Upper Moon Three, an aggressive melee fighter who personally slew the flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. Akaza is a confident and cocky warrior, but even he fears Muzan’s dark side, and he now has a grudge against Tanjiro Kamado.

Over the course of the past few decades, Akaza’s voice actor Akira Ishida, has had many roles in diverse anime. He voiced a villainous cancer cell in Cells at Work!, and portrayed Tsukasa Eishi in Food Wars!. He even had roles in Dr. Stone as Hyoga, and Apollo in Cyborg 009.
