Netflix dropped the second season of After Life in April of this year. Starring Ricky Gervais, the second season follows Tony on his path to a better life after the death of his wife Lisa. As a feature writer, Tony’s job is to interview locals in the small town of Tambury. Along the way, we meet the comically strange characters in Tony’s town through the paper. Reaching 100 years of age is a huge accomplishment. A person has stories upon stories of lifetimes they’ve lived. But in After Life, the woman being interviewed was anything but happy about being 100 years old; She was pissed.

After getting a letter from Queen Elizabeth II, congratulating her on reaching 100, the woman was annoyed instead of proud. She told Tony and Lenny that she was in pain all the time and hated the people around her. She wants to die to escape the madness but keeps on living. Her entire mindset fascinates Tony, of course.

1 Night Of 1,000 Stars

In the second season, James introduces Brian to a theater group. They planned a revue show called “Night of 1,000 Stars” where everyone is free to express themselves in any way they’d like.
