Glee 10 Major Relationships Ranked Least To Most Successful

Over the six seasons, Glee had managed to accrue a huge fanbase for many reasons. They loved some of the one-liners, the song covers, and the chemistry between all the cast. They also loved the friendships between the groups. However, what made them really invested was the romance between the characters.

One of the reasons why the fans loved the relationships was because of how relatable they could be. From the likes of Klaine, Brittana, and Finchel, many fans thought that these pairings complemented each other well. However, if fans had to pick one relationship (out of the entire show), which one would they say was the strongest or weakest?

10 Will & Terri

If there was one couple that was the epitome of a bad romance, it was Will and Terri. From the get-go, it was clear that they weren’t right for each other. No matter what Will did, Terri was never satisfied. She didn’t care about his dreams or wants, she just cared about herself.

What was worse, Terri decided to manipulate Will by faking a pregnancy because she was afraid of losing him. Will was no saint either – technically, he had an emotional affair with Emma and did neglect to tell her about their flirtations. It had to be the most toxic relationship on the show.

9 Anyone With Sam

By season 6, it appeared that most of the New Directioners had begun settling down. Tina and Artie had reunited, Jesse and Rachel were married, and Kurt and Blaine were about to welcome a child. The only person who didn’t exactly get a happy ending was Sam.

Considering he was the kindest and most chivalrous character on the show, it befuddled fans that he couldn’t his relationships work. It was like the writers made it his ‘thing’ and used it as a gag.

8 Marley & Jake

When Jake Puckerman was introduced to the show, fans hoped that he wouldn’t take after his brother and father. At first, it did seem like he was about to break the cycle when he got into a relationship with Marley. However, this didn’t last very long as they both sabotaged their relationship.

For one, there was the fact that Marley had feelings for Ryder. Two, Jake struggled with the fact that their relationship wasn’t physical. Three, they both cheated on one another. They had no chance in the long run.

7 Finn & Quinn

While it was clear that they cared about one another on some level, Finn and Quinn were another weak relationship. The issue with this pairing was that there was no emotional connection between them.

They practically had nothing in common. The only reason why these two were drawn together was because of their social statuses. The cracks became even more apparent when Finn fell for Rachel and Quinn became pregnant by Puck. Add to the fact that she would occasionally mock his intelligence, it was obvious to all that they were better friends than partners.

6 Finn & Rachel

Although fans would have loved for this couple to be endgame, it’s sad to say that Finn and Rachel’s story was cut short. Starting in season 1, Finn and Rachel struck a bond after joining the Glee club. Eventually, their friendship took a romantic turn as they began dating in season 2 and became engaged in season 3.

However, this relationship came to a halt when they decided to put their relationship on hold while they discovered themselves. Their relationship was further strained when they stopped talking after Rachel began dating Brody. While they did try to mend their friendship, their story was closed here as Cory Monteith sadly passed away in real life.

5 Tina & Artie

One of the more unexpected surprises of the show was the revelation that Artie and Tina had gotten back together. As fans remember, Tina and Artie had dated briefly in season 1. However, the two called their relationship off after Tina started to fall for Mike.

Although many would think this would have impacted their friendship in the long run, it didn’t. If anything, their friendship became stronger as the two continued to support one another in their dreams. By the end of season 6, the two were seen to be happy and loving relationship together.

4 Blaine & Kurt

Although Blane and Kurt had a rollercoaster of a romance, the couple did manage to find some stable ground in the end. Beginning in season 2, Kurt and Blaine first met when the McKinley student transferred to Dalton Academy.

Eventually, the pair began dating after a couple of months of friendship. However, like other couples, they had their issues too. There was a cheating scandal, new boyfriends, and a broken engagement. Nevertheless, their love was seen to persevere as they decided to work through their issues and got married.

3 Santana & Brittany

The show has had many romances. However, if fans had to pick one they thought was the sweetest and most epic, it had to be Santana and Brittany’s. While it is not known when they first started, the couple made their relationship in season 3 official when Santana began to embrace her sexuality.

In season 4, Santana and Brittany made the amicable decision to break up after they both realized that long-distance wasn’t working for them. However, fans were right not to give up on them as the two reunited in season 5 and wed in season 6. By the end of the show, it was clear they were finally in a healthy and happy relationship.

2 Will & Emma

Even though Will and Emma had been married to other people before they made a proper go of it, it was clear to all that they were the most compatible.

Out of all the characters, Emma was the one who had Will’s back. She was the one who encouraged him to become a show choir director and join the Blue Ribbon panel. In return, Will attempted to show her kindness and compassion by helping her with her OCD. They may have had the occasional miscommunication, but, by the show’s finale, they were still happily married.

1 Carole & Burt

If there was one couple the fans should aspire to be like, it should be Carole and Burt. Beginning at the end of season 1, Burt and Carole managed to hit it off at a parent-teacher conference. Although their relationship was hard on Finn and Kurt at first, the boys eventually came around when they saw how happy they were.

After this, nothing got in the way of their relationship. They were a solid unit – they made decisions on the boys together, they never kept secrets from one another, and they continued to support each other in their toughest times. It was a relationship full of love and rest.
