HBO’s original six-part miniseries The Undoing had some highs and lows, but one of the show’s catchiest aspects is the wardrobe of Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman).

Grace is an affluent Upper Eastside New York psychiatrist who dons the snazziest ensembles to such unglamorous events such as school fundraisers, courtroom appearances, and casual walks through Central Park. Though she might not be dressed for the occasion, her looks are not to be missed.

10 Christmas Ensemble

Grace’s biggest sartorial motif includes her large collection of draping overcoats. In one particular afternoon, she spends time walking around New York with her husband Jonathan (Hugh Grant) in a casual Christmas colored ensemble.

Beneath a long green woolen overcoat, Grace sports a red leather skirt to go along with her red and green turtle neck sweater. By now, her implication in the central murder case is still intact as she wears an elegant Freddy Krueger-like sweater that may hint at her involvement.

9 Plum Pants-Suit & Floral Scarf

Various shades of purple are Grace’s favorite colors to wear in The Undoing. During one of her therapy sessions early in the series, Grace is shown wearing a draping plum-colored paints-suit accentuated by a black floral scarf.

Grace also wears gold rings and a bracelet to go along with the baggy ensemble. Multicolored Lillies are printed on the black scarf swaddled around her neck and hanging in her lap.

8 Brown Suede Skirt & Silk Blouse

Grace breaks out a two-tone autumnal number for her meeting with billionaire father, Franklin Fraser (Donald Sutherland), ahead of Jonathan’s high-profile jury verdict.

The shiny brown silk blouse Grace loosely wears pairs with her lighter, tighter brown suede pencil skirt that screams opulent fall fashion. The elegant ensemble is completed with Grace’s skintight black leggings and her hair color which matches her skirt.

7 Brown Pajama Pants Suit

Even when lounging around in her decadent manse, Grace overdresses the part. During one sequence where she entertains a chessboard, she is seen sporting a sheeny mocha-colored pajama pants suit.

Not only does the outfit match Grace’s radiant hair, but it also reflects the natural color scheme of the interiors of her home. The loose-fitting getup is both chic and casual at once, allowing Grace to retain her keen fashion sense even when home alone.

6 Purple Dress/Coat & Green Scarf

Another shade of purple Grace favors includes a two-tone coat and dress combo seen when exiting the courthouse with Jonathan. The purple overcoat and plum-colored dress beneath it are punctuated by the olive green floral scarf Grace wears around her neck.

The colors on the scarf mirror Grace’s pink lips, flowing copper hair, and alabaster skin tone. Even her black and brown briefcase matches the outfit.

5 White Floral Trench Coat

While protecting her son Henry (Noah Jupe) from the pressures of the press during one episode, Grace dons a lighter, more wintery shade of white in a chic floral trench coat.

The slinking silk-like material has a flowery autumnal print that matches her suede brown skirt underneath. The regal overcoat is also mirrored by Grace’s permed ginger locks and accessorized briefcase.

4 Purple Blouse & Leather Skirt

In one of her skimpiest outfits of the entire series, Graces ditches her trademark overcoat for a lacey lavender blouse with yet another matching, darker-colored floral print. The lightweight blouse comes with a matching neckerchief that appears built-in at the collar.

Grace pairs the beautiful blouse with a black leather skirt, which she wears to enjoy a drink on the balcony of her expensive Manhattan mansion.

3 Crimson Overcoat

One of the most striking pieces of clothing Grace wears in The Undoing is the crimson, shoulder-to-shin velvet overcoat she puts on to walk through Central Park on the night of Elena’s murder.

The red riding hood-like garment intimates Grace’s innocence despite being captured around the murder scene by security monitors at the time of Elena’s death. Grace sports purple boots, a matching handbag, and a black scarf to go with the plush overcoat.

2 Olive Green Hoody Trench Coat

Graces also pairs her aforementioned purple boots with the arresting olive green hooded trench coat, which is the most head-turning jacket worn on the entire series. Whether she sports a purple silk blouse or gray turtle neck beneath it, this is Grace’s number one go-to.

No single outfit Grace wears in The Undoing turns more heads than the metallic, multicolored Givenchy gown seen in the opening episode of the series.
