Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

Typically, when audiences watch movies centered around monsters, creatures, and sci-fi monsters, many see the monsters as the most horrendous things to grace the screen. Whether they be large or small, these monsters exude the evil and ferocity people expect to see.

However, in some movies, the acts of humans outweigh the monsters. The Jurassic Park and World series, for example, have some great moments where the characters strive to rise above the monsters, but, other times, they are worse than the dinosaurs. Here are the five worst and the five best things that the humans of the Jurrasic series did.

10 Worst: Wu Creating Hybrids

There are plenty of moments and even characters that were carried over from Jurassic Park into Jurassic World, some of which were even given more detail or depth. One such character is Dr. Henry Wu, a scientist who had a rather small role in the first film.

When Wu returns, however, he comes with the intent of creating hybrid dinosaurs and even creating the Indominus Rex, among others. When the beast gets loose and goes on a rampage, all fingers point at Wu for creating the intelligent and deadly monster.

9 Best: Muldoon’s Sacrifice

Sometimes, even the most badass and stoic of characters can make great sacrifices for other people. Robert Muldoon was one such character, a stoic and gruff park warden with a cold exterior harboring a heart of gold.

When Muldoon and Ellie Sattler go to restore power, Muldoon realizes they are being tracked by the freed velociraptors. Serving as a distraction, Muldoon gives Ellie a chance to get inside the power station while he is hunted down by one clever girl.

8 Worst: Ludlow Bringing The T-Rex To San Diego

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

The amount of ideas in films that end up being bad is astounding. If audiences had a penny for the number of schemes or plans that have gone sour, they’d be millionaires, and they could thank Peter Ludlow for contributing to that wealth.

After capturing a T-rex, Peter Ludlow, CEO of InGen, thought it would be smart to bring said T-rex to San Diego. What followed was a rampage through San Diego full of chaos and death, all thanks to one man’s idiotic plan to get rich.

7 Best: Claire Freeing The T-Rex

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

If someone were to say go free the T-rex, more than likely, a rational human being will run as fast as they can the other way. However, when it’s between the T-rex or a raptor rex hybrid, options are limited, something that Claire discovers in the climax of Jurassic World.

With the Indominous Rex wreaking havoc, Claire lures the T-rex with a flare into a no holds bar battle to the finish. It’s a bold act of bravery, with Claire even running in heels as the T-rex bounds after her.

6 Worst: Gennaro Leaving The Kids

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

Sometimes, all it takes for a character to be labeled as the worse is one tiny act. It happens many times in films, with one tiny action making them out to be the worst. In Jurassic Park, that person is Hammond’s lawyer, Gennaro.

Now, when a T-rex breaks out of its enclosure, running into a bathroom and hiding is a pretty reasonable reaction. However, when the reaction happens while you’re in a car with a pair of children, it would probably be smarter if you didn’t abandon them.

5 Best: Lexi Sealing The Doors

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

Nowadays, just about every kid out there has an iPhone, tablet, computer, and knows how each one works. They’ve become a part of our lives, but, back in 1993, that kind of tech was still brand new, and, as such, those who understood it were few and far between.

One such person on Isla Nublar was Lexi, one of Hammond’s grandkids. When She, Tim, Grant, and Slatter are attacked by velociraptors, Lexi’s able to use her knowledge of computers to lock the raptors out and save them from being dinner.

4 Worst: Hoskins Weaponizing Dinosaurs

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

Most of the time, the word “weaponized dinos” would elicit a squeal of joy from fans. But, when the dinosaurs in question are hybrids that have no place on the planet, the squeal becomes a scream of terror. This is the plan Hoskins has in store in Jurassic World.

As the movie reaches its end, it’s revealed that Hoskins, the leader of the parks security force, has been colluding with Wu to profit off of these biological terrors.

3 Best: Owen Searching For The Brothers

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

When someone is in danger, they tend to utilize a fight or flight method of survival. Usually, this means that a person will either fight or run away, leaving anyone behind. It’s usually a selfless act that means every man for themselves.

As Jurassic World begins to descend into chaos, Own Grady ignores his fight or flight in order to search for a pair of brothers still missing on the island. It’s a selfless and kindly act not seen by a lot of people in those kinds of situations.

2 Worst: Nedry Shutting off Power

Jurassic Park & World 5 Worst Things That The Humans Did (& 5 Best)

When audiences think of an antagonist or someone with villainous intent, Nedry is probably not the person that springs into their minds, and yet, he was single handly responsible for releasing the dinosaurs and starting the whole Jurassic Park mess.

After being offered money to steal dino embryos for a rival company, Nedry was more than happy to comply. However, in his scheme, he shut down the power, resulting in the creatures in the exhibits being set loose and creating one of the worst theme park disasters in the history of film.

1 Best: Grant Protecting Lexi And Tim

It goes without saying that audiences love a character who evolves over the course of a film, and no one evolves quite like Alan Grant. When the film beings, Grant is seen to have a bit of distaste for kids, not even warming to Hammonds’s grandkids.

However, when Grant and the kids are separated following the T-rex’s jailbreak, Grant steps up and helps the kids through one bad situation after another, growing as a character. In the end, fans see Grant become a better person and aid the kids.
