Rocket League What EVERY Car Looks Like (Including Crossover DLC)

Way back in 2015 Rocket League launched with only 10 rocket-powered battle-cars that could be used in the high-flying, ball-chasing car soccer matches. Now, over five years later, Rocket League has gone free-t0-play, and there are 76 vehicles present in the game. There is everything from Rocket League poster-car Octane to movie, video game, and even LEGO tie-ins. All 76 unique car bodies can be seen below.

Although Rocket League is a widely popular game today, it had a long road to stardom. Rocket League is a sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars, a PlayStation 3 exclusive from 2008 which garnered a small but very dedicated fanbase. The gameplay of SARPBC is essentially the same as that of Rocket League with slightly different physics. Both games involve two teams, usually consisting of three players each, driving and flying their rocket-cars around an enclosed field in order to score a large ball in the opposing teams goal. Whichever team has the higher score after five minutes (or overtime in the event of a tie) is the winner.

Rocket League has become a popular esports title thanks to its very basic premise combined with an astonishingly high skill ceiling. Beginners will have fun driving along the ground and trying to push the ball into the goal, but higher ranks get very competitive when players start jumping off walls to carry the ball the length of the field without touching the ground. Outside of the online matches, a lot of the fun in Rocket League comes from customizing cars. There’s a lot of options, so players should check them all out before they spend their money.

Although Rocket League went free-to-play last year, it still contains a convoluted monetization system. Many of the more coveted items are locked behind a paywall, and new players may feel overwhelmed with an influx of strange items after every match. The trading system is complex, allowing players to both trade up for rarer items themselves or trade with others. The game continues to grow, and support is still planned for the foreseeable future, especially since Rocket League was upgraded for next-gen consoles. There’s no doubt more items will be added.

Rocket League is a completely unique game, with cars to match players’ unique styles. The customization options are limitless. That is, of course, if there is time and money enough for it. The 76 unique Battle-Cars is the just the foundation of Rocket League customization, and even that not-so-humble beginning is a bit overwhelming.
