The Bachelor 5 Worst Seasons In The History Of The Show

With The Bachelor being on the air for almost two decades now, the show is bound to have a few bad seasons, and we’re going to talk about five of the least inspiring seasons today. The reality series began in 2002 with the first Bachelor ever, Alex Michel. While he did not propose to his winner Amanda Marsh, the pair did decide to leave the show in a relationship. However, the romance did not last for long as they broke up several months later. Since then, the show had had several breakups, marriages, and feuds.

Over the course of nineteen years, a number of interesting men have become The Bachelor leading men, in the hopes of finding their true loves. In most cases, it hasn’t worked out. The only former leading man who did go on to marry his final pick was Sean Lowe. However, Arie Luyendyk and real estate pro Jason Mesnick did marry the runner-ups from their seasons. While many past seasons were entertaining, some viewers found certain seasons to be a waste of time. These The Bachelor seasons were disappointing.

Colton Underwood – Season 23

Colton made waves as The Bachelor when he became the first virgin lead. While the premise for his season seemed like it would have been entertaining, it became boring after a while. The virgin jokes were overdone and Colton always seemed like he was only there for the fame. However, close to the end, when Colton jumped the fence after getting dumped by Cassie Randolph (he went on to date her for more than a year) the season became a bit more interesting.

Lorenzo Borghese – Season 9

Prince Lorenzo was one of the early leading men, with his season of The Bachelor airing in 2006. ABC tried to be fancy by having a prince join the series, and by filming the series in the Italian man’s home country. Instead of a season filled with romance with a fairytale ending, the season basically fell flat. According to EW, Lorenzo’s season was incredibly boring and the least memorable of the many installments.

Ben Flajnik – Season 7

While Ben Flajnik’s season was one to remember, it did not end the way that most fans thought it would. During the final rose ceremony, Ben got down on one knee and proposed to the season’s villain Courtney Roberston. However, during his After The Final Rose sit-down with Chris Harrison, Ben revealed that the woman he saw on TV wasn’t the one he knew and loved. They were essentially broken up while the show was airing but did manage to revive their relationship. However, the couple broke up less than a year later.

Peter Weber – Season 24

Viewers were not excited about Peter Weber’s season from the moment he was announced as The Bachelor. Throughout the season, Peter had a difficult time handling the drama in the house and was often accused of rewarding bad behavior. In the end, he proposed to Hannah Ann Suss, however, he broke up with her to give things a try with his runner-up Madison Prewitt. Peter’s mother did not approve of his new relationship and made that perfectly clear during the aftershow. Overall, viewers saw Peter’s season as a waste of time.

Juan Pablo Galavis – Season 18

Juan Pablo’s season may have been an entertaining trainwreck, but fans didn’t approve of the former soccer player as the lead. The way he spoke to the women was sketchy and he didn’t seem like he was ever truly interested in any of the contestants. Even though he ended the show with Nikki as his girlfriend, viewers had stopped caring about him by that point.

The Bachelor has given the fans a plethora of horrible and decent seasons of the show. Nonetheless, die-hard fans are willing to stick with the show through the good and the bad. Hopefully, the new season in 2022 will reach new highs now that Chris Harrison is no longer a part of the franchise.
