Bill Goldberg Reveals How Many Years – and Matches – Are Left on His WWE Contract

WWE Hall of Famer and four-time World Champion Bill Goldberg has revealed how much longer he has left with the company in his contract.

It appears that we haven’t seen the last of Bill Goldberg in WWE just yet. Despite being 53 years old, the WWE Hall of Famer says he has at least four matches left before he hangs em’ up for good.

Speaking with The Pop Culture Show, Goldberg revealed that he is under contract with WWE through 2022 and 2023. He also noted that he has a limit of two matches per year, and has already used up both of those matches in 2020. “I’ve exhausted my limit this year quite early on April the fifth with WrestleMania under these really weird circumstances,” said Goldberg. He added, “My WWE commitment is still going strong at 53. I never would’ve imagined especially after making fun of Flair when he was doing it in his early 40s.”

Since returning to WWE in 2016, Goldberg has competed in eight matches, including the 2017 Royal Rumble, and won the Universal Championship on two separate equations. Most recently, Goldberg defeated The Fiend for the title at Super ShowDown in February before dropping the belt to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36. He has also found himself in the news recently, after comments he made about Roman Reigns on Have a Beer With Obie, calling the Big Dog “a joke” before defending his pre-match antics.

Reigns and Goldberg were originally booked to square off at this past WrestleMania before Reigns was forced to step away due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Based on these comments, it would appear that Reigns will likely be one of Goldberg’s opponents when the former Shield member makes his return to WWE programming.
