The Australian native is almost a member of the prestigious EGOT club for actors. Jackman also appears in this tearful teen film, but not in a typical way. Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, Detective Loki, is incapable of finding a lead for the case, and Keller takes over. Many viewers agree Jackman carries the film, despite Gyllenhaal’s outstanding performance.

Jackman plays Robert opposite Christian Bale as Alfred. Nolan was impressed with Jackman’s interest in the role, and his excellent stage presence, so he was immediately chosen. Scarlett Johansson and David Bowie also appear in the film, with Bowie portraying Nikola Tesla. With these gigantic stars in the film, The Prestige is a must-watch.
